Mini clubs in San Diego ?
I'm trying to find out about Mini clubs for the San Diego area. Also I'm trying to find anyone that took some photo's at the Brecht Mini run that was held October 9th. Thanks,
West Coast Mini Club: http://www.westcoastminiclub.org/
I'm a newbie and haven't even met anyone in person yet, but they seem like a real friendly bunch. There's an overnight ghost town run scheduled for Nov 5-6.

Mini Clubs in San Diego
There are three MINI and Mini clubs that are pretty active in San Diego:
SCMM - Southern California Mini Maniacs. www.scmm.org, and a bulletin board at http://www.clubscmm.com/forum/index.php. Membership is $ 25 per year. Although headquartered in L.A., there is a very active San Diego group with frequent local (SD county) runs. Next 'big' run is the Veterans Day weekend run to Laughlin.
West Coast Mini Club - http://www.westcoastminiclub.org/ - an informal, but friendly and active San Diego club with frequent runs. Free membership, that overlaps a lot with SCMM. In fact, most local runs are completely mixed with SCMM welcome on WCM runs, and vice versa. MINI folks are friendly! Also have a bulletin board/forum on Yahoo Groups - http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/westcoastmini/
SD Minis - http://members.***.net/sdmini/ - and a Yahoo Group at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/SDMinis/. This club is mostly classic Minis, but MINI owners are welcome. Not too many runs, but the ones they have are very interesting. Monthly breakfast meetings in Escondido. The kind of interesting people and cars you would expect in an organization devoted to keeping 30-40 year old cars on the road.
I belong to all these and enjoy them, but then I've got a 2004 MCS, and a 1973 Innocenti Mini Cooper, and am still trying to capture my lost youth - where I bought new a 1972 Spanish built Mini - and went bombing around Europe in it for three years...

Well heck!! That is the same day as our anual parade out in Borrego Springs so I will be missing it along with a lot of others that are going to be in the parade.
To bad it could not have been set up for a day nothing was going on.

yeah, we wish we knew when planning.
It was the best time to get the tests done and introduce the installation shop. We can always schedule an install day as well.
