Actually, all of the warranty info is in writing right here. I have never had a warranty issue, but if it happened, we would work out either a local shop (several have been checked out by Webb Motorsports and approved as warranty work outlets - in LA it would be Bimmer's Clinic and Steve's Auto Clinic), or I would fly out and do the work myself. As I have been there four times (six if you count San Diego), I certainly come out often and could make a stop to fix a problem. Parts are also covered.
As I said above, I have NEVER had a warranty issue with any of the 610+ cars I've installed pulleys on. A Webb Motorsports pulley was on the first car to do over 100,000 miles, and that car is still going strong.
I also have my own car, which has over 220 wheel horsepower and is tracked at least once a month, most of the time more. Every employee of our business also owns a MINI, and all of them are taken to the track as well. In addition, I sponsor four national level SCCA autocross cars (we won a National Championship and got a second place at last year's Solo Nationals).
We have been chosen as the testing company for many manufacturers, and also have helped in the development or completely developed several parts. Those include Milltek, H-Sport, Powerchip, Unichip, Alta, M7, Leda, AP Racing, and UUC - I'm sure there are others. If a part leaves Webb Motorsports, it goes with our warranty, not the warranty of the manufacturer. That warranty is only achieved through our rigorous evaluation process.
Webb Motorsports is an international company, and we have had cars shipped to us for work from all over the world. We currently have a car from Mexico City and a car from Nevada in the shop. I have had numerous customers from California drive out to the shop, but of course if there were a warranty problem, I would certainly make it as convenient as possible for the customer.
I think that answers the question, but let me know if you have any concerns. Webb Motorsports is the most experienced MINI pulley installer in the world, and I would be happy to share that experience with you in the form of answering any further questions.
Hope that helps!
Randy

No, I charge $400 for the part and installation. I use the Alta pulley or the M7 pulley, both of which are higher quality.
I have always charged $400, and I as well as many of my customers, feel the price is worth the quality of labor. You can't pay enough for experience.
Hope that helps!

Thread Hijack Complete?
I find it a shame that a person can't post info about an upcoming "pulley party" (sorry if the phrase has been patented) and then have the thread hijacked by others. If there are other pulley party's going on, by all means post info about them...in a thread so entitled. Otherwise it would seem to be just common courtesy to read/ignore/whatever on this particular thread.
Just my two cents worth. I'm sure there'll be differing viewpoints.

By the way, I agree with your statement above ("Nope that is not true..."), and I remember the debate.

I will see you Sunday at autocross, look for my Black S
Just a note to end my involvement in this thread.
I did not hi-jack this thread. From my point of view, this was the quickest and best solution to ending confusion and clarifying the SoCal events. I had several customers who wanted Webb Motorsports to install their pulley call and ask to schedule time slots at Johnny's since this thread was titled as "Socal Pulley Party" and I am in town the next weekend. They thought I was doing two weekends at different shops in SoCal. This confusion was directly related to this thread title, and since the issue was directly related, it certainly made sense for me to address it here. I've never beat around the bush, but I have never tried to be unethical.
That said, I just called and talked with Johnny directly, and he is certainly a good guy. He has been working on his and other MINIs since 2003. He tried to post here to the thread, but can't log on just yet for some reason. He wants to become a paying vendor or vendor installation facility. It had been suggested to him from some other folks to move the event he has to another date. I think there is plenty of MINI enthusiasm for both events! Stop by both, after all, both events are for love of the game, not to make money (Johnny usually charges significantly more than the $400 I charge with parts). See other cars, talk about drives and mods, enjoy MINI comraderie!
MINI enthusiasm should trump politics. We all love the car, love modding the car, and love the community. Johnny and I certainly agree on this point. If I could, I would stop by the weekend before, and Johnny has said he will try to stop up at the Webb Motorsports/Bimmers Clinic party.
I highly encourage everyone to go to Johnny's as well as the Webb Motorsports event! Here's the website for Johnny's event with an address:

I certainly hope to see all of you and hear all about the previous weekend

I am looking forward to meeting Randy Webb at the LA "pulley party" at Bimmer's Clinic. Check out their website at www.bimmersclinic.com. George, the owner has been working on BMWs for 30 years and has worked on many new Mini's. Note the yellow Mini coversion on the website.
I have called Randy with many technical issues since I purchased my 2005 MCS in February. The FAQ portion of the Webb Motorsports helped me decide on my performance and suspension mods. The Alta 15% pulley, Alta CAI, H-Sport springs and rear anti-sway bar were installed at Steve's Auto Clinic. I couldn't be happier with the installation and performance.
Randy has spent countless time and money on R&D to assure that his products have been thoroughly tested. Problems often don't become apparent until products are on our cars. (eg., I have seen Mini owners go back to the 15% Alta pulley after having problems with other brands or 19% reduction pullies)
I look forward to seeing everyone at Steve's, Johhny's and Bimmer's Clinic.
