mini gtg at nick aleander mini this sunday the 22
hey guys, i just got a card in the mail that nick alexander mini is receiving their first convertible on the 22nd, and are having a get to gether to welcome it. they are clearing out one of the lots to fit the minis, and will be having food as well i think

Cool! Unfortunately, I am in San Diego until Monday night....grrrr! 
On my way down here last Thursday, I spotted a BRG/B cabrio northbound on the 405, near Long Beach! It looked awesome...and the top was up, too!

If anyone is wondering about this convertible, I checked it out today when I dropped my car off for Inspection #1. It was an Orange MC Convertible. Very nice, but with a $7,000 markup. OMG, $34,000 for an MC??? Ouch. Can't imagine what the MCS Convertible is going to look like from NA.
It had the Chrono package and Chrome trim. Surprising amount of cargo space with the top down. I picked up a brochure--they have lots of them. I only saw 2 MINI's in the showroom--the Orange MC Convertible and a Black MC with 18" wheels or something---actually not sure about the wheels, I didn't look very closely.

Someone had told me that LB MINI had several Cabrios on the lot. I dropped by this past Sunday and sure enough, there were at least four of them (not to mention two MC40's)!
Took a few pix but it was so damn hot (104) that it made it difficult to get more shots. Below are a couple:
