Hey everybody, some friends of mine and I are having a meet this coming Friday at the Tustin Market Place right off the 5 freeway. We will be meeting around 6pm near In n Out in the parking lot by the empty Ikea building. We'll just be there to hang out, talk cars, etc and I'd like to see more MINIs represent. So far we've got a few m3s confirmed (one guy who may come has a very very cool 3.3 liter supercharged m3), and a bunch of other 3 series BMWs. Its a really laid back crowd so please come, show off your MINI and hang out!

im from atlanta but in torrance doing .Net trainning, but M7(peter) offered to pick me up so I can get my Mini Fix and ride in his mule. love to meet some mini's from the west, since Im from the east. I wont have my DMonk there but it will be there in sprit.

 

Darxar, wow man, I go to school at Ga Tech. I just finished my first semester so I haven't had my car for a long time. I'm heading back home for Christmas. Make sure you come and find me and say hi. My car is Cosmos with a S front bumper and S-lites. Do you ever do meets or anything in Atlanta? Now that I'll have my car out here I can finally start going to some stuff.

 

Yep there is an atlanta mini users group and a group of us Autox our MCS. i've done two so far and plan on doing about 10 or so in 2004. need some sticky tires and some experience, autoxing is a very fun way to drive fast and stay safe. you never get out of 2nd gear and lots of turns etc.... you should try it. im a member of SCCA and they will have lots of track days around the atlanta area. I'll try and keep ya posted. dont have the link to the atlanta mini group handy, when i get home i get it and pm you with the site.

 

Sounds good to me. I did an autox school (instructors all day teaching you how to manipulate braking zones, slaloms, skidpad, etc) with the NYBMWCCA when I went to school in New Jersey. It was ridiculous amounts of fun, but I haven't made it out to an actual event yet. I think I may make it to the SCCA event in San Diego the 20th of this month. I'd definately be up for some more when I get the car back out to Atlanta though.

BTW, nice color combo you've got there. I don't see too many other all black Coopers.

Here's the thing...

I'm not sure if they have permission from the Center to do the meet, which means that there won't be any place marked off, which means that we may not be able to find a place where everyone can be together... That center is super busy on weekend nights...

They are meeting in front of the old Ikea, theres usually no one there. I've been to a meet there before...but I cant make it to this one

Kyle, BRGFrog(don't know if its her user name or not but it's whats on her plates, and myself were the only MINI's there. Everyone else had BMW, Mercedes and a Porsche. everyone was respectful of the MINI no bashing at all.
