SoCal Cruise April 4th.

Ok everyone with the beautiful weather lately why not take a spirited cruise through one of the best canyons around us? I'm setting up a run is set for Sunday, April 4, 2010. Tell all your friends & prepare to have a blast!

The run was originally created by a group of Mini/MINI enthusiast and I hope to share it with some of you guys!

Our day will start off in West Los Angeles (Address below), then to the beach for a group photo opportunity, Pacific Coast Highway, then off we go to the hills of Malibu, lastly we'll end up at the famous Rock Store Cafe off Mulholland Highway in Augora Hills for lunch

I have personally done this route a few times and there are some hills and twisties so please be sure all vehicles that attend this event are up to par with brakes, suspension, etc.

I have recently checked/toured the road this past weekend to make sure there is not any major construction going on, etc. The route is clear and I am sure there will be a blast

Please meet at the meeting spot at 9:30am and we will group up and maps will be passed out and we will be on our way by 10:00am sharp please be there on time.

Starts off of the 405, Sunset Blvd at the old Holiday Inn, now called the Hotel Angelino.

170 N Church Ln
Los Angeles, CA 90049

Come see if your mini can keep up with the GTi

The run will last about 3-4 hours, please arrive with a full tank of gas and prepare to have fun!

As a reminder if possible please bring a two-way cb radio/walkie talkie, if you have extras it would be nice to lend them out. This way we will not get separated, so we can give notifications about road conditions, and such

Weather seems good tomorrow.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. South southeast wind between 6 and 9 mph.

About 35-45 cars showed up, had a blast, great people, cars, roads, good times overall, no drama, no incidents, no tickets, no accidents, what more could we ask for?!

For those that got lost, they got a treat! They met Jay Leno

Thanks for making the run a success!

Don't forget to check http://www.rockstorephotos.com if you passed through "The Snake" on Mulholland in the next few days to see your car

What an S load of fun that was today! Met some great people today, and it was a treat to see Jay Leno sitting on the side of the road at a bus stop bench because his motorcycle had broke down. He was great to talk to, and simply an all around nice guy, probably because he's a car guy.
Can't wait for the next run, and look forward to seeing everyone again.

Does anybody have the contact info for this guy driving the black S2000? He said he does auto detailing in Chino Hills.

I was fun and a great turn out! I just feel so horrible about sliding into your mini. For some reason my brakes just decided to go out on me. Even when I pulled the E-brake it didn't work. Glad to hear Joseph is going to take care of you. If there is anything I can do let me know. I knew I should have never sold my Mini. The brakes probably wouldnt have went out!

Don't worry about it, it's all gonna buff out (literally). Plastic bumpers coming together with a slight graze = just a superficial paint scuff. No problem at all brother!
