Sugar will soon be fixed :)
Going to take her in on Saturday to have her DME shipped to NJ on Monday. She will probably be at the dealership for a week. But looks like I'm also going to get my other stuff done (new fenders, get my old bumpers back, my grill fixed, and my dome-light fixed). I'll have to confront them (or maybe make Kevin do it) about some sort of compensation for all this hassle since March. Yeah!!!
Oh, i've had problems with my MINI for awhile. I have the stumble/lag/shake/rattle n' roll issue. I guess there is a fix for the domelight now, the little middle button on mine fell out and it won't go back in. I'll let everyone know how my MINI is with the new software when I get her back.
Yeah, me too! I was just in there about 2 weeks ago, and Sean told me they didn't have a fix for that yet. What gives?

They will replace your dome light assembly. What happens is that the spring inside the main button gets pushed it with normal use and therefore the plastic button suddenly falls on the floor. The funny thing is that the switches for the reading lights on each side of the dome courtesy light, seem to be much better made and never have this problem.
This is something that can be fixed by replacing the spring, but the dealer prefers to charge BMW back for part replacement of a new one.

They don't have the fix at the dealership. They are being allowed from BMWNA to take 5 DME's and have them shipped to NJ for the fix. Since I was one of the orginals and the biggest complainer, I'm on the list for this monday. I believe they are hoping to have it out to all Dealerships soon.
I decided to wait. I could have had mine done and back by now....and motoring without a stumble.
Cadace, could you do me a favor. Ask them when I will be able to bring mine back in and get it done. He told me as soon as 3 weeks, and it has been more than a week. If I do it, it will be another week, about the same time it is ready to be released to the dealer.
I was told by Halloween....Just 2 weeks.
I was also told I was #2 in line....must be behind you.
