i got home today and there was a box on my doorstep that contained my glove box organizer (coolest thing ever) and my new shifter ****! 1.5" diameter chrome sphere! if it only it could've been in my MINI when we went flying down 275 at 110mph... like that pack of thugs in Fast and Furious... :smile:

i'm gonna have to get the upgraded BMP air intake and strut bar. it looked really awesome on Nobull's MINI. and then it's big silver flames on the root, a rocket launcher and an ejector seat...

 

i just went out and checked my odometer... i drove 750 miles since friday morning! that's a lot considering i live 112 miles from st. pete! :smile:

LOLOLOL!! OMG...St. Pete/Tampa/Clearwater will never be the same!! That drive on 275...Oh boy!! What a rush!!!!!!!! When we gonna do it again?????????

i agree that the cannonball was wicked cool, definitely need to do that over a few more landmarks! i got a bit toasty too, but at least i stayed sober (wink wink)

a special thanks to tony, andy, andrew, and holly, for chaperoning me and keeping me out of trouble! hehe, (when can i go back to daytona)

all the mini's were incredible, it makes the wait for mine that much harder!!!

are you guys ready for deals gap? only about a month and a half to go...hehe!

Well, I must say it was AWESOME meeting you guys this weekend! I had a blast! Thanks to everyone who drove my *** around all weekend! God knows my poor little rental car wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys anyway!

Special thanks to Anday for being the driver during the 110mph Fast and the Furious run down I-275! That was SWEEEEEET! And I must say, after seeing Nobull's MCS, I have a serious case of MINI-envy... :smile:

I had a blast, although I didn't make it to the events on Sunday. It was great meeting those of you I haven't met in person.
Fast and the Furious Team session was cool, just wish the highway was less crowded.
I loved staying up chit-chatting and drinking with you guys/gals. What a great bunch of friends we all are!!

Hey girl that sounds like a challenge to me...But you were the fastest female on the track that day so I guess we both won.

 

It was great to meet you all. We went to go see Sahara Hotnights Saturday night, which was a blast, but also missed the chance to hang out with you all.
I think I'm now hooked on Autocross and will be looking for more local events.

Well i guess its my turn. First I want to thank everyone who went to Spring Thing #8. It was one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. Only the third time in 13 yrs that the wife and I got away from the kids for the weekend. :smile: As most knew I hurt my back the day before the weekend and was really having a hard time getting around but with all the fun and people around I soon forgot how bad it hurt. Man does it sux getting old. Remember that zero..Keep those braces on..Now to the thank you's. Thank you Aimee and Cathy for letting us hang with you both. Noreen really enjoyed the company. You two ladies are really special people. Mike and Anita a.k.a. 2minis, thanks for the great dinner at Red Mesa,mmm good. You are an awesome couple!!! Holly Andrew Andy Adam Vince Ron Tony what a great bunch of people. I know that the 275 run will stay with many for some time. Right Holly!! Next time we are going to work on getting Holly to loosen up a little more. No more COKES...Margerittas for you Holly!!! Andrew, I don't know what you drink but damn I need some of that. The chineese fire drill on 4th ave made me almost pee myself. And the Lucas interior was a sight. Adam, your no dork. Just don't let your mom read the posts about how drunk you were. PS. Well, we had one heck of a time. I thought we we're lucky when we got the room on the corner by the pool untill I realized that it was PARTY CENTRAL. At least I did get a little sleep. I really enjoyed meeting people that I only knew as a username. there we're sooo many hot cars there, it was tough to pick a favorite. What a blast. When can we do it again.

Well, I certainly can't compete with Bruce's custom personalized thank you's but at any rate...
Thank you everyone; for all the MINI events I've been to, this one ranked near or at the top. The Fast and Furious session was more memorable than our "MINI Mountain Hop" at Euro Fest - despite my underlying fear of all the drivers getting arrested and me having to get Olivia towed to the hotel since I don't drive manual! Luckily everyone averted felonies!

Michael and Anita: thank you so much for putting that dinner together, it was perfect! You are great hosts and wonderful people. OH! And the jacket! Let me tell you again how much I love it! It is soooo cool! I can't wait until it gets cool again so I can wear it

Where to begin???

Spring Thing was perhaps the most fun weekend and there are so many of you to thank for making it such a success. I feared that the weather would not be nice, but Sunday turned out to be magnificent, despite my sunburned peeling nose.

So here goes:

Holly: Thanks for introducing me into the Florida scene and for inviting me down to spend some time with you and all the other Florida "MINI Freaks"! So much fun getting to know you despite our differing opinions about whether or not a passenger has the right to touch the car stereo. Holly, you rock! :smile:

Tony: Could not have hoped for a better roomie! Had a ton-o-fun and glad that you are still willing to ride shotgun with me on 275!

Andy: Thanks for turning me onto that Smirnoff drink as well as the Dave Attell CD that I was unable to actually burn. Ordered my own one today!

Adam: You can crash on the floor anytime, and I hope you stay relatively unimpaired once you take delivery of your sweet new MINI! I would say that you actually have at least an ounce or 2 of charisma

Vince and Jessica: Keep up the good work with the rescue dogs! Fun meeting the 2 of you and will look forward to next year!

Anyone else I forgot here: Forgive me, I had a blast meeting you and hanging out all weekend! Next year, my memory might be better, but as I just got back home, I am still frazzled from the drive!

Michael: Look forward to seeing you next weekend in Atlanta. Sounds like a LOT of fun and thanks for the margaritas!

 

Sounds like I done missed out on the best MINI event so far! Damn it!! lol... So sorry I couldn't make it, but unfortunately had to work for the weekend. I'm glad y'all had a blast of fun, and hope to make it to next Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter fun event.. hehe
