Why be a *****?

Ever built a show car? I can tell you that IF these are anything like you like, it's a fair deal.

But didn't any of your mothers teach you if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything? Geeze, I hope this wasn't your proudest moment.

Matt

IMO, both South Bay *and* Fireball Tim keep forgetting to mention that a portion of the sale of these Fireball one-offs go to charity (I forgot which one because they never mention it). They are really really nice, one-of-a-kind cars. With about $5000 of custom upgrades, if you're into grabbing trophies at car shows, it's a shoe-in. Certainly not a daily-driver! But for that price point, it'd better not be!

If I had 40-50k for a "collectible", and could write it off my taxes too? I'd already own it!

Good luck on the sale Amanda/South Bay

I will have to agree with the good Dr. on this one. Whether you like the car, or not, there is no need to be rude. Totally uncalled for.

They miscalculated the market for this kind if car...... not a crime..... not my "cup of tea" but building one of these cars is a lot harder than typing a "flame"

My my

Well the mighty Dr O,

Saying that the price of a custom MINI is crazy and not realistic is surely not as bad as calling someone a *****.

We need to check with YOUR mama for proper manners.......

***Of course, if a percentage is going to charity, that's a great thing.........

Also, if I want a front GP bumper (not painted) do I need to return my old GP bumper?

All of the graphics on these cars are paint work done by Eddie Paul (a movie car designer) and they have hand done pinstriping to them as well...

As for a spec sheet i will post that in tomorrow as i have to get the file with the exact specs on the cars

Camelpilot the only way to get GP parts is to contact parts with your vin number and ask them to reorder you the bumper i am not sure if it will be painted or not typically they are not painted from the factory but the GP bumper may come differently our dealership number is (310)939-7300 and you can ask for myself or parts and we will get an answer for you on bumper

As for discounting MINI's we do not forsee a drop in the market that will give a need for a discount... BUT there is a special out there for DECEMBER FOR NAM MEMBERS THAT CALL AND ASK ABOUT THE SPECIAL... so go ahead give me a call for more details on that NAM DECEMBER SPECIAL....

IF you have any questions about the special you can call or PM me and i will get back to you ASAP!!

Just an update on that Fireball Tim chat - it got pushed back to Thursday instead of Wednesday at 9pm EST. Hope to see you all there as we are gonna try a Skypecast format where Tim will answer all questions live using Skype while we type them in the chat room - kinda like we did for the WhiteRoofRadio 100th episode. Hope to see you there!

I have seen all of these cars. I know Tim personally. I have had work don in their shop, and I have come to appreciate the quality of SoBay Mini. Flamers, you might want to get an education before showing your ignorance any more than you already have. These cars are gorgeous, not meant for the average person. And in L.A., (home of the kustom kar kulture you are all signed on to) cars are more than just an appliance: they are a statement. That I think is somethig we here can ALL relate to, right? That guy next to you in the monster truck thinks you'r a *****... but you aren't are you? Judge not, lest ye be jugded right frikkin' back!

lekfx, drving a sleeper that scares even steely-eyed FX-men.

Are these the two dark blue 2006 MCS sitting just outside of the showroom? They look really nice, and the price are now around 35k. If I wasn't getting an automatic, I may have considered them.

Man, $36K is a WAY sweet deal for these cars...

You need to see them in person to appreciate the work, especially the paint and painted graphics.

The June 2007 issue of AUTOMOBILE Magazine has a sweet article on Mr. Paul and his work.

If they don't sell for that price then is there any hope for the world?
