What happens when our manage attachment file is full. Can we edit/delete from it.I guess if you delete it then the thumbnail is lost.

lot,

To my knowledge there isn't a member specific limit for the amount or quantity of attachments you can have. Are you getting a specific error message? If so, PM me a copy of the message.

There is a limit on the overall disk space for attachments, but we set that to keep an idea of how the system is being used. It shouldn't really impact you.

Why aren't you using your gallery space more? That would centrally locate your pictures and you wouldn't have to go back to dig up old posts to find where an attached image was located.

Dave

Thanks Dave.
I have not gotten any error messages.Just that the red part of of the bar thing is bigger than the green part.
I have been looking for a hosting site, but I think I will just use the NAM gallery, easy to use, lots of space.
Got a new digital camera this week,so I seem to be posting more photos.
Lots of fun
Thanks again

The only "Red" and "Green" bars that I'm aware of are related to the number of PM's you have versus the limit you're allowed.

As far as I can tell there isn't a similar display for the attachments.

Could that be what you're seeing (the PM limit)?

No its not the PM limit,as I delete PM's as I get or send them, usually within a day.
When I click the manage attachment button and go to the page to upload thumbnails there is a red/green bar that says.Sum of all attachments owned by lot15.Right now I'm at 2.9 MB.and the bar is about 2/3 red,1/3 green.
But seeing as I only post pics on NAM,I think I will use my gallery here on NAM to post photos.
Thanks again

Interesting. I haven't uploaded an attachment that way before. You taught me something about the site today.

I thought you were talking about something in the UserCP. Re-reading it, it looks like you were just talking about the manage attachments button you get when you post.

Incidenly if you want to see all of your attachments, you can go to the UserCp attachments section and then click "show thumbnails" at the bottom. That will give you this page layout showing thumbnails of all the images you've uploaded.
