Trouble getting to this site
I have been trying to bring up NAM for two days and I kept getting some sort of "test" page. Finally I was able to back in from the oil change page that I saved in my favorites. Anyone else have this trouble?
>>I was having troubles because one of my bookmarks was still linked to minicooperonline.com , is that the problem you're having?
I guess that could be the problem. In my favorites I have the link listed as North American Motoring :: MINI COOPER, news, forums Is this causing a problem? I tried again and keep getting the same Test Page. Once again I was able to get on the site thru the R-Speed oil change page which I saved.

I have tried just typing in the address: Northamericanmotoring.com, and still get this page with the title: Test Page Apache Web Sever. I guess I'm the only one with this problem.

I have turned off the redirect to North American Motoring if you happen to use a url with minicooperonline.com in it. That said if you do use minicooperonline.com you should receive a message indicating that the domain is being decommissioned and that you should visit North American Motoring.
As for your particular experience do you have access to a command line in Windows where you can run the following command?
DOS> ping https://www.northamericanmotoring.com
It should come back with something similar to the following:

Here is the problem:Test Page
This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache Web server after it has been installed. If you can read this page, it means that the Apache Web server installed at this site is working properly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are the administrator of this website:
You may now add content to this directory, and replace this page. Note that until you do so, people visiting your website will see this page, and not your content.
If you have upgraded from Red Hat Linux 6.2 and earlier, then you are seeing this page because the default DocumentRoot set in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf has changed. Any subdirectories which existed under /home/httpd should now be moved to /var/www. Alternatively, the contents of /var/www can be moved to /home/httpd, and the configuration file can be updated accordingly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are a member of the general public:
The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems, or is undergoing routine maintenance.
If you would like to let the administrators of this website know that you've seen this page instead of the page you expected, you should send them e-mail. In general, mail sent to the name "webmaster" and directed to the website's domain should reach the appropriate person.
For example, if you experienced problems while visiting http://www.example.com, you should send e-mail to "webmaster@example.com".

This is a standard page that comes up when you are configuring an Apache web server. In the case of our server this was displayed for a few hours early Sunday morning. All that it means is that the server was up and operating at the time. You should not receive this at this point when accessing the site. If you are there may be a reason why...the page is being cached by your browser in some way. If you are using Internet Explorer try the following to see if it resolves the issue when going to https://www.northamericanmotoring.com:
1) In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options
2) Click on Settings under Temporary Files
3) Select "Every visit to the page"
4) Click OK
5) Click OK
6) Enter the url https://www.northamericanmotoring.com
Let me know if this changes any of the behavior you are seeing.

Well, this is weird, I don't have a problem getting to the site using Internet Explorer. But I have not been using IE, I guess I will have to now unless there is another way to correct the problem? Thanks for your help Mark.

>>Are you using the AOL browser by chance?

Yes, I guess so. Like I said, I'm not a computer guy but I usually get onto AOL and then put NAM in the url. Now I can only use IE? :???:

Let me contact AOL tomorrow and ask them why this may be happening. There is nothing that I'm aware of on our site that should prevent you accessing it through AOL's browser. I find it strange that only in the last two weeks have I started getting reports about similar problems with the AOL browser.
Thanks!
Mark
Thanks!

Mark,
I just read this thread, so I opened my AOL and typed the site name (without www.) in their browser bar. It took me to the site just fine. Took about 30 seconds, but got me there.
Cheers,
John L

Are others still having AOL-related problems? From Moorlockx's experience it almost sounds like there was some form of DNS or link caching going on. Perhaps the AOL browser has DNS or caching information that is only updated after several days. Given that I stop the MCO redirect about the time that this problem surfaced perhaps it took some time for the changes to propogate through the AOL browser.
All theory aside let me know if other AOL browser users are still having problems. To date I've been unable to find a contact at AOL that could address this issue.
Thanks
Mark

Mark, I'm being redirected to MINIUSA.com by clicking on galleries in the NAM Pulse. In addition, we I tried to log directly into NAM this morning, it also redirected me into MINIUSA.com. I never had any problems before and I've had AOL all along. Any ideas. I am able to access the PULSE directly, which is how you are hopefully getting this message. Jon
