More database issues?

In the last couple of days I have noticed that when clicking on the "take me to first unread post" button, the page just keeps loading and nothing happens. It takes two or three times of me canceling navigation and clicking on the link again before the thread loads properly.

I haven't yet experienced that. I have noticed that, here and there, the site is a bit slower than normal, but I haven't hit a database error in a number of days.

Keep us apprised.

I'm not seeing a database error, but I figure it has to be either the server getting bogged down or the database is having issues but not throwing an error.

It just happened to me again this morning, trying to get into this thread, and again trying to make this post.

I'm putting in a tech support ticket, you might get a PM asking for more details during the week.

Got a text from a user just now who can't connect. "Server not found" on Firefox. Working fine for me, though (obviously).

Here's another message a user has been receiving:

Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired

I'll be getting the necessary info from her.

I keep having the problem where I click on Last Page for a thread and it goes to a page about 5 pages from the actual shown last page. Example:

Cat People Thread (Off Topic): Page 146
Show us your Face: Page 320
NAM Confessional: Page 135

If I look it shows me there's more pages but if I try to go to them it just takes me back to the same page I was on. I've tried this in Safari and Google Chrome. Both do it.

The only other thing I can think of is the 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page' found via:

User CP>Settings & Options>Edit Options>Number of Posts to Show Per Page

I use the forum default. I am on another vBulletin forum that had a similar issue, and it was resolved by tweaking those settings.

If that doesn't work, a service request should be placed for this issue.

The tech support team ran a process to correct this, is everything back to normal for everyone?

I think that update cured things.

How about this one:
Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.

Please push the back button and reload the previous window.

Any thoughts?

Slow loading pages

No.

With the exception of this window to post a reply, the forums or marketplace pages load slower than.........if at all.

The headers load quickly and then I waited 2:15 to load the preview post window and I have a DSL connection not dial-up.

It's been that way for a few days now so if it doesn't load right away I'll try a second window and then give up and go somewhere else.
The competition of course.

This site has been this way for entirely too long, not just the last few days, and has made me think it's not worth the effort.

Sure would be nice if I were wrong about that.

*Seems I am, now loading faster than fast. Just took me to open my ........ mouth.

90% sure this was routine weekly maintenance of the site, it can take up to an hour, but is usually only a few minutes.
