If you want to include a picture in a post, and that picture is not already hosted elsewhere on the Internet, do the following:

1. Upload your picture into your member gallery or a particular album
2. Once it has been uploaded you have two options to consider:
   • Use the thumbnail of the picture in your post
   • Use the full-size version of the picture in your post
   Whichever option you choose simply CTRL-click over the image of choice and select Copy Image Location (Mozilla), Open Image in New Window/Tab (Safari), Properties (Internet Explorer) and copy the resulting URL for the picture.
3. Next, go to the post where you want to insert the image.
4. Click on the button when editing your post, paste the URL into the box provided, and click OK.
5. Your image should now appear in your post.

If for some reason you do not see your image:

• Check the URL of the image to make sure it is correct.
• To change the image in your post simply edit the post, highlight the area of the image, and click the button to make changes to the URL displayed.

I can't get it. I posted the photos, put the URL in the box. But only the address show up in the thread. Not the photo. I need help.

 

Are you using the picture button not the link button ? The link button does what you're describing.

 

Yes I am. It put the address of the photo on the thread instead of the photo.

 

Tried again. I don't know what the problem is.

Well I guess I figured it out. I posted the last two threads and it worked. Thank you for everyone's help.

 

How about from an IPad? Every time I try to upload pix into my gallery it's not even an option. Upload buttons appear screened back and can't select them, so can't upload from IPad.

I use an iPad. I use photobucket. I put photos from my library first, then upload them to bucket. From bucket you use the direct link to upload them in the gallery. Hope it helps.

You need to find the actual image address, which would usually end with .jpg, not the page address like you put in.
