Not many active threads since the "attacks".

It seems as if there are far few folks here lately...
Anybody with Firefox/Chrome is basicly not here since you must override your browsers security settings....
It looks like many folks are going elsewhere rather than risk their computers...
So a question for the masses....are you going elsewhere for you Mini fix, or are you just limiting you fix to using your phone/I-Pod so as not to risk infection??

Have you widened you mini horizons looking elsewhere for answers since question here are getting so few looks?

I know it has been hard to see only 10-15 active posts here...what was once a hour's distraction is now just a few seconds...that and the fact it seems many of the vendors are staying away due to security concerns make me wonder what the future holds.
Any thought?

Edit: I would like to state that in all my research, about 90% says this type of attack is mainly an attempt to steal Add revenue....IT USUALLY DOES NOT have the pages installing "bad software"...it is still possible..but most reports of this attack..going back to FEBRUARY has to theft of advertising revenue. The Software support people do recommend that users change passwords, since the installer of the hack did gain unauthorized access to deep portions of the software...and anything was possible.
Thanks Matt, AKA DR O for tracking down the support sites, and a few useful threads to add the ones I had found!!

I have been here all along with my Mac and Safari. In my opinion there is no better Mini board than NAM. I have tried all the others and nothing is as comprehensive and satisfying. My guess is that everyone will slowly migrate back once the browser notices stop and they long for the quality of the information and interactions.

I'm not the masses, but my corporate IE based client never noticed or gave a damn.

Of course this could be an auto-post from my computer generated by the insidious worm.

I just disabled the preference to block reported attack sites. I only use Macs and Firefox. And being a mega computer geek and in IT, I think I can keep myself safe.

To the OP... as much as I want to believe that more people are using Firefox and Chrome to potentially drive traffic away from this site due to this mistake... I know that IE is still unfortunately the most popular browser.

I've noticed that there a fewer active threads too & I hate that it is taking so long to get this fixed & back to normal. I'm afraid folks will quit coming altogether if it goes on & on. As for myself, I won't risk my good computers at home & am checking in once in awhile at work on a clunker that is ready for the trash heap anyway. It's been crashing 4 times an hour for years anyway so wouldn't be losing much! Hang in there NAM fans, surely Firefox will take us off the blacklist soon!

i just stopped using firefox and went back to my old version of explorer . i use nam for good mini info and MU for the cool scene/ entertainment factor. although sometimes less users is a good thing. another forum im on performancetrucks.net used to be awesome almost everyone had been there for awhile and were very knowledgeable. then about 5 members got into truckin magazine and PT.net was mentioned, since then the site has been flooded with new people asking what the best flowmaster muffler is, and many other stupid questions. i used to be on there everyday but now only once a week or every other week.

…..but I don’t think that would be a big problem here (a lot more chevy trucks than minis out there) I just miss my old truck forum.

I've done some late season motoring with less activity on the site, I've been able to do a little more driving.

True....the leaves are a changing...and it is one last chance to do some motoring with clean, sand free roads before they get messy!!

Sorry if some of us, including me thought there might be more to it...but when given little info, folks kinda have to assume the worst IMO, and protect themselves!!
More info...maybe a front page posting to this statement would have been simple....and saved much time for all involves IMO!!
