USPS has been losing a lot of packages lately. Well not any of mine but they have lost 2 of my g/f packages.

I have to say, the mail has been slow lately. Normally things that would take 3 or 4 days to get somewhere have been taking over a week. I'm not sure if it's my tiny-town post office or what, but eesh.

it's not only USPS. The seller said he shipped 2 boxes to me seperately. One via USPS and the other via FedEx. Neither of them arrived. He also says he cannot find the tracking numbers.

I believe I waited enough. I am taking this to Paypal Disputes. I don't think that it is my problem the boxes got lost or whatever. I should get my money back and the seller should deal with the shipping companies to claim...

Sounds like BS....Can't find the tracking numbers....LOL...
Seems odd one would go both..... USPS...and the other by FedEX....why 2 trips to different locations?!
Have you given him negative feedback yet?? It is a warning to others!!

Well seeing as he has responded to this thread and he also does have good feedback I would bet that he isn't trying to scam you. Also with the seller making two trips, one place could have a cheaper shipping rate than the other. For example he might have shipped with USPS because the item fit in a Priority Mail box whereas the other item did not so he shipped it via Fed-Ex because it could have been cheaper.

I'm not really taking sides on this one but for the person who bought the items, I too would be a little upset about this and you do have every right to be. But you cant just assume that he is trying to scam you because the items have arrived yet. I know it sound ridiculous but hey these shipping companies are getting a little carried away (no pun intended)

What are the chances of 2 separate companies loosing 2 separate boxes shipped to the same address......
If they were addressed incorrectly, They would have been returned by now to the shipper....perhaps the shipper was making small sales to get good feedback....or maybe he did something common on e-bay by scammers, and he sold stuff to himself...and gave himself good feedback?!
I really hope I am wrong......but it just seems far-fetched....that USPS, AND Fed-Ex would both loose boxes, and both tracking numbers would be unavailable!!!
That my friends, is like winning the lottery twice in one day...and getting hit by lightning!!
Perhaps the response is only to give the scammer more time to hide his tracks?!
If the seller truly has a-lot more to sell, then he can eat the loss, and refund the $$, cause HE was the one who cannot prove the items were shipped!!

I have to agree with ZippyNH. If I were the buyer, I'd dispute with paypal and forget about the items.

Remember that USPS Priority Mail does not have a tracking number. It might have a delivery confirmation number but that only tells you if the item was delivered and not where it is in transit like FedEx/UPS do. Priority Mail is 2 to 3 days anywhere in the country. I ship by both FedEx Ground and USPS because like has been said, I like being able to give my customers 1 or 2day delivery or even Saturday delivery options without the cost associated using FedEx. Shipments from me to people in the western part of the USA are within that time period versus to the east coast will take the maximum amount of time.

As for FedEx shipments, you might be able to call up 1800 GoFedex and ask them if they are any pending shipments to your address, tell them that you are expecting one and it hasn't arrived yet.

I don't know if you read the whole topic but:
1) I insisted that he should get the delivery confirmation thing and pay like 75 cents extra when he was shipping the box via USPS. Priority Mail takes 2-3 business days whereas mine was shipped like 20 business days ago.

2) Just like what the other people are saying, what are the chances of 2 different shipping companies losing my packages where other stuff I bought from other members arrived long time ago.

3) FedEx does not give out information when you do not have a tracking number.

4) Where is the seller?? He disappeared for like 10 days, then came here posted something, told me that he will get the tracking numbers for me and let me know but again he disappeared, does not reply to my PMs.

5) After he disappeared for 10 days, he said he was renovating his house etc. he didn't know I didn't receive the boxes blah blah. Now he does now that there is a problem with his sale but yet again he does not log in to the forums or at least contacing me to give some updates.

6) I never said he is a scammer. I waited like 2 weeks before posting here just because I trusted him. He might be a good guy with 100000 positive iTrader feedback. None of these are my problem. I did my part and delivered him the money, he on the other hand did not deliver the items. Might not be his fault but definitely not mine. He should send my money back to me and deal with the shipping companies to get his money for the lost parts.

I didn't see the part about the delivery confirmation..but I was just adding additional info to the thread in support that there is definitely something wrong here. Btw, last time I checked, delivery confirmation was free if you print the label from your computer so you shouldn't have had to pay more.

Delaying tactic?

I think the seller may be employing a delaying tactic. If you wait too long Paypal will not intervene.

My point....if yo are going to claim fraud....do not let a full month go by....by then the alternate accounts....the CC or bank accounts that PayPal may try to claw money back from may be closed!!!
ACT TODAY!!! I bet the seller is!!

Yep it's been like that since 2006 I think. You can google "USPS Free Delivery Confirmation"

From the USPS website under Delivery Confirmation FAQ
(Delivery Confirmation) Included free with Priority Mail labels printed online through Click-N-Ship, the eBay Shipping Solution, or another approved product from a Postal Partner that provides access to Online Postage Labels.

I don't know what this guy is trying to do but I will leave negative feedback today. He does know that I did not receive the items and there is a problem with his transaction and yet he doesn't even bother sending me a message.

I tried paypal for disputes but it didn't let me do one. Don't know why.

If he is a stand up guy, he will pay my money back and get his through shipping companies. OR, he will do nothing and basically steal from me

I wouldn't. I would say 99.9% of all transactions go off without a hitch.

don't blame other sellers just because of one.
but, I will not let this go like this. The only thing that made me sad was that I asked an Moderator or Admin (don't remember) if he will be banned from the market and won't be allowed to sell here again and the answer I received was that they let users take care of this within themselves. basically this guy will be allowed to sell even after this incident... :(

I just checked the guy's contact info and added him on my AIM. and guess what?? he was online.

all this time saying he is renovating his house and doesn't have internet connection was plain BS.

but of course he is ignoring my messages over there too

....this is not right. Didn't this site actually ban a questionable vendor some time ago? Paulo Uber or some such......for selling knockoffs and crap.

Is expecting adults to settle discrepancies all that far out of the question?

I'm amazed how many people are asking for banning at the first accusation, am I the only one that had to study the Salem witch trials or "McCarthyism"?

There is a guideline (it was there long before this sale ever took place), and when contacted by an Admin the seller responded within the allowed time; take a look at the users iTrader feedback and out of 11 10 responses are positive. And that negative feedback wasn't placed until the morning, so this time yesterday that same user had a perfect feedback rating.

Not to mention....
POLITICS & BANNING
Discussions related to politics and banning are not permitted. Comments or questions regarding banning should be sent in through the Contact Us link found in the Main Menu block.
Additionally as this is really a paypal dispute at this point, here's the information for those that may come across this thread in a similar future situation...

I tried Paypal. It says that I cannot dispute this transaction because it is a non eBay item.
You are saying that the seller responded in time. then why can't the Admin contact him again and ask for the tracking numbers??
He is not even posting here or answering my PMs. isn't this enoguh for not being allowed to sell here?

I can sell 10 things for $10 and then scam someone for $2000. So I will be OK since I have 10 positive out of 11 transactions??

All I am saying is that I tried to solve this like an adult but he is not answering my PMs. I am doing everything I can to resolve this but can't do anything if I don't get a response. I can just keep posting and nothing will happen and I won't be able to get my money...

Please contact the seller then and tell him to solve this issue. I even tried to contact him on AIM. He is online (therefore he has internet connection) but is ignoring my messages...

I think the problem would warrant a temp ban until this issue is resolved. Thus protecting the other members from potential bad deals.

There is plenty of info and details about the transaction to warrant some kind of response from NAM.

Well I'll clear out the hypothetical first by informing that if you scammed someone for $2,000 that would be a felony, and the site would cooperate with law enforcement, and you would be more "imprisoned" than "banned".

I have contacted the seller again. I'd suggest you contact local law enforcement or a lawyer to determine with what evidence you have what your options are and if it is a civil or legal matter in your area.

FYI a banned user will not be able to PM you.

You can dispute any goods purchased via PayPal. It does not matter if it is from here, or eBay, or anywhere else.
I purchased $407.00 worth of goods from the market here (not eBay). There were 3 separate transactions, all which I filed a claim for. I received PayPals full support, and 100% of my money refunded.
As long as you did not list the item as a 'service', and as one that reflects tangible goods, you can file a claim.
If I were you I would go back to PayPal as soon as possible.
Click on your history tab (second row on the top of the page)...once there, find the transaction and click on it.
Once on the transaction page, scroll to the bottom and click on 'dispute'.
It will then take you to another page and you can list why you are filing the dispute. If you hold off for much longer the time will run out on the claim.
Good luck, and if you need to find any further information about the seller, just ask. There are many awesome people on this forum that are more than willing to help you through this.
Good luck.
