Mark,

What about a link that says, "PM a Moderator" ?

It would probably need to be more like: "PM a MINI Talk Moderator" or "PM an O.T. Moderator"

The link would allow users to PM ALL of the Moderators of that forum at the same time in order to get quick attention to a problem. It would also allow all of us to be aware of the moderating issues in the forums.

I envision this link being an addition to the current list of moderators for each forum.

Dave

Better yet, make it a link at the bottom of every post, ie. REPLY, REPLY WITH QUOTE, PM A MODERATOR...

Both ideas are good! Sometime we actually go...ahem...offline! So, when we come back it's good to catch up on the happenings and all.

Cheers!

The new software for the site will have this capability....now if I couldn't only get the fires on MCO calmed down so I could work on getting the site migrated

It's rather simple to contact a Moderator. On the top of the Forum header (just below the drop link) is a listing of the Moderators on each Forum. Click their name to see their profile; you can PM them from there.

How about a pop-up list that shows only the Moderators that are online.

One of the current issues, regardless how you PM a moderator is that there is no email notification that reaches the moderator. I currently monitor email much more closely than going to the site and updating my PM list. Currently if you click on a mod's username in the particular forum it should display if the person is online or not. Also, keep in mind that online is a little misleading...it means that sometime in the last 10 minutes they were online. Given this they may have already left the site fora period of time. Most of the mods, including myself, include an email address in their sigs. Be sure to make use of that as well.

Thanks

Mark
