I need a good alternative to Desert MINI for service on my 09 MCCS. I've had very little interaction with Desert MINI so far, but what I have had did not impress me.

I've heard a recommendation for Kensington, but dgerstel's thread is giving me pause.

I'd like to have my car inspected for any potential problems, and have a good quality oil change performed (since I'm not confident that Carmax did a proper one before they sold me the car).

Kensington has a blurb on their site that they will give current customers a 10% discount for referring new customers, and that new customers referred will get a free oil change and inspection. Would anyone like to refer me?

Or, would anyone like to make any other recommendations or comments re: Kensington and/or Desert MINI?

 

I take mine to Imperial Auto in Henderson. He has the full diagnostic computer, and is by far the best mechanic I've ever had (best as honest, fair, etc...). In the Hot Rod Hill strip mall a block east of the DMV on American Pacific.

I know I'm digging up an old thread but I think it's a bit related, so here goes:

What's going on with the Las Vegas area MINI Dealership website? And what's the current name? Desert MINI or MINI of Las Vegas? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'm not local yet, so I can't just drive over there and ask/check it out myself.

 

They are now MINI of Las Vegas - Most of the Autonation dealerships have removed Desert from their names.

 

Another option... Elliott's Imports & Domestic Auto Service, on Elliott Road in Henderson.

 

I will be taking mine to Southwest Bimmers here shortly for work and from what I've seen in their shop and those who I have talked to who've had cars worked on there they have a pretty good reputation and prices WAY better then the dealer.

 

Any place other than a dealership for non-warranty issues.
