HI everyone, just wanted to update you. I have sold 2 books of raffle tickets and sent money to Lisa. Sorry to say i will not be attending this very important Sierra Nevada Mini event. I signed up for Mini Takes The States. I could not get out of work> But my Mail route is across the street from Petsmart. So i may show up in my Mail truck for a few minutes on saturday. The next day i will be departing for Santa Cruz and beyond. Glenn

I'm going to try to make it to Petsmart for the pics...then I have to go to work. I'll be driving down from the Lake so I'll most likely not have a clean car...oh well, just means I've been enjoying the open roads!

 

Glad to see so many interested in joining sat aug19. I want to thank everyone in advance for being a part of this. A lot of raffle tickets still out there, I do need money by thurs or fri so I can get one big money order along with checks made out to Dog Town Rescue. So far I have $318.00 but I am still hitting up co-workers and neighbors who also detail their cars. The products are GREAT !!!!!!! I will send thankyou letters to our sponsors.I met an electric blue with checkered top works at the same hospital and got a blue cooper with white top and real nice wheels at the Wendy's in the same day. And I was also confronted finally about my "rainbow". I will tell more on that at our lunch stop in Markleeville. I will make calls friday afternoon for final head count but got 7 I think so far coming.I will also post friday evening here. How did the auto cross go? I put my run flats up front now and goodyears in back. I sure love my mini............Motor On. Lisa

 

Haven't heard from any other Reno Mini's , so I guess it is just Melissa and I heading down to CC for the event?

We will be meeting Sat Morning (Tomorrow the 19th) at 9am at Krispi Kream at McCarran and S. Virginia and will leave at approximately 9:10 (giving us a little donut time)

Hey guys my car has a flat and am not able to drive my car. I am having AAA tow it to the shop they said they could give me a rideto krispy creme. So jeff if it is OK with you I will ride to Carson with you and we will figure it out from there. Lisa maybe I can ride with you.

Was great seeing everyone (well almost everyone...) and a great time was had by all!

Thanks to all, and especially to Lisa who organized the run and did all that grunt work for those poor animals...Many of whom probably will eat better than we will tonight!!

Hey yeh it was fixed........Geesh........Hope you come this friday to Q's in Carson City 6pm by the Lowe's we met at for the run. If not I may be paying visits to Reno minis. I may have some goodie bags of left over products. I am also donating to REME for the sept.1-4 run at Lake Tahoe. This is the run NOT to miss!!!!!!!!! We will discuss friday Aug 25. Thank you to ALL who came. We had a new member from Topaz and Speedy showed up too! Melissa got a flat but came for the run anyways, what a trooper. Wasn't the pass an awsome view of the Sierra's? Lunch was very nice but Jeff had WAY too much wine !!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha LOL LOL LOL We donated $322.00 to Dog Town Canine Rescue ( did anyone see Loraine cry?) She is most greatful. I hope the Nevada Appeal will do a piece on us. Vance sent me some great photos. The winner was very happy to get the bucket and my neighbor too. Thank you again to all who helped. For the minis who never even responded you can pitch your raffle tickets. No need to send them back. See you all this friday at Q's. Bring some ideas for future runs. Lisa

Q’s BBQ (230 Fairview Dr., Carson City, NV)...same parking lot as the charity run last weekend. Food and drink. Yum...burp.

 

Have not heard back from Lisa about tonight so.....
I will miss you all, but will not be attending the BBQ place in CC..Lisa is aware why, and I hope all have a good time!

I am really encouraging all SNMC to join REME for Labor Day weekend runs sat and sun . Please post rsvp's as I will not be making reminder calls. You don't want to miss this run. It's only during the day and a chance to see the Sierra's and be with some great minis from CA. I am adding goodies to the bags for attendees on this run. Hope you all can make it. We also discussed the Nevada Day parade. I am sending in our entry form monday. Any interested SMNC please call me for details. This I will be calling you on as it will be a very large parade this year I hear due to being an election year. We will be working on a sign, holders for the sign during the parade and in what order we want to be in. This should be a fun event and a great way to "show off" in our home town. SNMC meet sat 8am north Albertson's in Carson City sept 2 to join REME in Tahoe. Motor On, Lisa

Maps are being updated now and copied. Will have copies for everyone. I have Vance & Pat's cell numbers and have put them on the list. The cell number list is considered "private & confidential" and numbers should not be disclosed outside of the run. I don't have Melissa's cell number, so if someone could PM me I will add to the list.

Of course radios to be set to 7 sub 21.

Peter & I are leaving Windsor at 5AM tomorrow and will meet up with other members in Auburn @ 8:30AM. We will be arriving in South Shore (Lake Tahoe) about 4:30PM.

We will be meeting at the hotel Saturday AM. Will have maps and goodie bags.
