Hollywood Buzz Rack - Dual Bike Rack w/ Integrated Storage

Category: Exterior
Price: $150
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R52, R53, R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60
Location (Region): NorCal
Item Condition: Used

Selling a Hollywood Buzz Rack- holds two bikes with a front-fork mount along with integrated storage (good for helmets, gear, change of clothes, etc). Bought this brand new a couple years ago, installed for 3 months to support a competitive cycling season and took it off the car never to be installed again. I held on to it for a long while thinking it would eventually go back on, but I think it's time for it to go.

Condition is as new- all necessary hardware is included.

Local pickup is preferred.

Looking for $150 or best offer.

(Note: the base carrier bars shown in the photos are no longer available)

$300 for both (the bike rack includes all mounting hardware and the integrated gear carrier bag as well). Shipping to Maryland would be a trick- we'd probably want to look into how much that would run you to see if it's reasonable.

Price fix

Whoops- had to edit the quoted price for the combo roof base carrier bars and the bike rack. Total for both would be $300 + shipping.

Josh, what is an integrated gear carrier? $300 sounds quite enticing if shipping wont break the bank.

The Hollywood Buzz Rack comes with this large zippered bag that attaches to the middle of the rack (between the bikes). It's big enough to hold a pair of helmets, water bottles, a couple changes of clothes, some spare tubes, etc. Surprisingly spacious- we've used it to pack for a long weekend in the past.

You can check out more information on the Buzz rack and pictures of the gear carrier on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Rack.../dp/B000QJ7CMO

I like that cargo bag, was thinking something along that line when traveling w/ my kids, nice to get the crap out of the car and up top and just have my toolboxes in the cargo area. If the shipping is reasonable, Im in.

For those looking to have this shipped, for the combined bundle of roof bars and the bike rack, the preliminary quote I received to get it all to Maryland via UPS ground was ~$100 (seems pretty unreasonable). I can look for more economical shipping options (and/or maybe a better way to package everything), but I can't imagine it's going to get much better than $50-80. With that being said, please let me know if you're interested at that price with shipping included.

Shipping for the roof bars alone should be cheaper, obviously.

HC- those are some great looking caps, but unfortunately I sold my R56 which is why the rack system is up for grabs now. Best of luck with the sale- I'm sure you'll find somebody who wants them (carbon parts tend to get snatched up quickly in the marketplace).

If you still have the base available, I can have family meet/pay you somewhere in the south bay. Sure beats the shipping costs, especially since they'll be coming down to san diego this weekend.
let me know

All-

My apologies for my lack of update or response over the past few days- I had to take an unexpected trip away from home and I'm just getting around to following up on unfinished business.

The base bars and bike rack are still available, however I will not be back at home and able to ship them (or sell them locally) for the next few weeks. I don't want to keep anyone waiting around, but to the extent that you're still looking when I return home in the first week of July, I'll update this thread and confirm I'm back and ready to go.

Sorry!

Alright- I'm back in town and ready to get this wrapped up. For the folks who were interested, if you haven't already found another rack for your roof then my apologies for the delay!

One change- I'd really like to avoid shipping this stuff (sorry, Clubman S Turbo). The bike rack in particular would need to be entirely disassembled to ship, and that's really quite a process (nevermind that I don't have the assembly instructions still available for the new owner). I'm willing to sell the parts separately, and would consider shipping the base carrier bars (they're much easier to wrap and send out), but I'd really prefer to find somebody interested locally if possible.

So, with all of that said- let me know if you're interested.

No, but the plugs and removal tool are sold as a separate part # (82720426987) and should cost less than $15 from your dealer.
