It's a plug and play. your wire is already on your current mirror. once you take off your current rear view mirror, you will see the connector.

I have the base mirror (no auto dimming) in my 2011 Clubman. You say the car is pre-wired. Is there a way to confirm this? If my car is I would be very interested in this.

Thanks but it doesn't look like this will work for me. I have the completely manual mirror so there is no wiring at all there. I found some other threads that seem to confirm that there is not any existing wiring unless you already have auto-dimming.

everyone has wiring up there...simple reason is the antenna for the remote is located in the mirror so if you have a remote for your car you have wiring in the mirror...not claiming u have every wire you need but you have at the least wiring for the remote board

Even without wires in place, this is an easy modification. Check out my posts at the end of this link: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-homelink.html

I just installed one of these over the weekend and couldn't be happier with it.
For those worried about wiring:
My car (2013 R56) was a manual mirror. I followed these instructions.
It only takes the two wires, swap the fuse for a 7.5 amp (my car was 5 amp) and both the Homelink and Self Dimming are working. No coding or anything else needed.
