Dealer had it for 1000 miles...drove it thru the car wash right before the pics. I would of at minimum pulled the leaves out from the radiator, and maybe even a little paint correction. Looks like it sat in a garage a lot, with a nice coat of salt stuck to the undercarriage. The low mileage is the highlight.
Yep, not a factory JCW according to the VIN, but a really late build at the end of R53 production, Oct. 27, 2006.
I’ve read the really late cars had R56(S) brakes from the factory, but don’t know if there’s any truth to it since the Cabrios were still being produced until 2008 and, AFAIK, still had 1st gen calipers.
Every car Park Place list is listed for at least 30% above market - I hope the current owner paid nowhere near $16k for that car if they're selling it for $7.500 only 10k miles later
I communicated with her about it 4 or 5 weeks ago - very nice person to deal with. Be aware that it has been in an accident, and the accident is reported on the Carfax. Also, it has leatherette seats rather than leather seats.
I like it and it doesn't have Aero and has the sunroof that I like !!
Not a fan of the checkered mirrors/spoiler/mats... but that is easy stuff.
Hood graphics and scoop .... not my style...easy as well to correct.
Drivers seat leatherette is not cracked up... and I have an anthracite HL/pillars set for it too !
Worth the price if as represented... no engine pix... and it is a bit dirty for a "babied, garaged" ride ....
Might be worth the 9 hr trip south !! HMMM.
