Spoiler wrapped

I had my car in for winter detail today and I had the spoiler wrapped in satin black vinyl to try to stop the reflection that lasers into the rear view mirror when the sun is in the right place. Looks great, matches the wheelarch trims reasonably well. I'll update here with how well it works.

Interesting... why not.
I've never had any problem with the rear spoiler blinding me but all is possible

Might be a paint shade or metallic versus non-metallic thing.

In my own opinion, it looks better in body color. I never had reflection problem with the spoiler but I have tinted windows.

You just keep this car way too shiny!!! It's just a bloody blinding beautiful blue reflecting laser of a Roadster.

Give us a shot of the whole car with the spoiler up and in nested position when you get a chance so we can see how it matches and blends in. 3/4 rear pictures should be a fairly good angle when the wing is down. Your Roadster always looks good from any angle, anyway.

Looks good and breaks up the design a bit.

The only other add-on part I know of for the R59 wing is the 3D design Rare Carbon fiber one. Adds more rear flare also.

So, when does that carbon wing go on serious sale? Last time I saw the price that rather small and totally gorgeous item commanded... shown again, copied from your post...

... it's possible that I may have blacked out for a bit, not sure.

Wish it wasn't priced at such an "unobtanium" level!! Looks out of this world awesome on a black Roadster, too. Woof!

Yea its nice but 3D Design is a Japan Market MINI part, and they can be expensive due to the cost of MINIs there. I have heard MINIs new in Japan, Philippines, and Malaysia can be super expensive. Currently no sale on these. They look awesome btw.

Need to get that Yen to Dollar value difference equalized a tad. Yen doesn't seem super historically high against the Dollar at the moment, according to the 10 year chart below, but it's certainly not low by any means. I thought it would be lower since news has been steady about the remarkably flat performance of Japanese national economy the last few years. Apparently the Yen doesn't care about that.

Darn it!

Yea, the MINI stuff in Japan is very nice but can be a pretty price.

Just have to get our $$ strengthened up some more... it's been headed upwards against the Yen, lately at least.
