That option wasn't available for my 2014 F56S. Does anyone know if it can be retrofit? My tires are 29"x3" do you think they would fit in the tray?
Thanks
Carlos
I'm pretty impressed with the roof rack system from MINI.
I have the tow bar setup for my FR-S. It works OK but I'd prefer the hitch or roof rack setup but neither were practical for a leased vehicle. Unfortunately, the thread is different on the FR-S and the Clubman.
As far as why I don't ride folding bike, I specifically want to ride when I take my bike out. I don't see the point in compromising my bike when there are ways that I can get my full size bikes on my 3 vehicles.
after going tow hitch, i can't wait to go back! i'm currently using a seasucker mount on my '14 cayman....but i honestly never feel 100% secure with that thing!
so far, all i have is a production number for my '17 f56 jcw. this was the first mod i ordered! i had one on my r52 and my sti with a usa1up rack and LOVED it.
I love my SeaSucker but sometimes I want to go MTB and I don't like to put the bike all dirty on the roof LOL
Sea Sucker
i used the seasucker on my porsche cayman...but didn't feel that i could leave it on in certain situations for fear of theft....and yes, fine for the road or cross bike, but definitely anxiety provoking with the full suspension mtn bike!
Hi,I have a question, When you install plate to aluminum, the female is come out litter bit, when you put bike rack in the female, left side and right side is same level or can adjust go inside&outside ?
I carry two MTB, mine is the Fuel EX full suspension, daughter rides the hardtail. If you're worried about security, look on the SeaSucker website. They offer a tab that you can run a cable lock through. It will secure your bike to the car with a cable lock. If you're worried about dirt from your bike getting on your car, carry a milk jug full of water with you and wash your bike off before you load it. Take a brush to hit the dirt to make sure it comes off. Me personally, I load my bike up as/is and have had no problems at all.
