massive oil leak

hey guys, wow what a night .
took the r53 for a hard run and i saw my oil light illuminating.
pulled over and saw nothing
when i got home i gave it the best inspection could cause i cant get it lifted right now but while idling the oil rushed out. but strangely it wasn't coming from the usual places like right under the engine or oil pan it seems to be further back. when i played with it a bit cause i suspected its m/t oil. and after i stared the car back up no light, played with the shifter and there's the light again. so my uneducated guess is it might be a seal on the gear box maybe?
any thoughts??

Maybe a slight gasket split or improperly installed oil filter housing cap ? Did you jkust get an oil service? Or the gasket from the head to the filter housing :

Is it trans fluid or motor oil ?

thanx for your response, i believe now its an oil leak and i had the oil filter replaced couple weeks ago. so later today will get the car high enough to get under it and see where its coming from . could be the drain plug or the filter housing i guess. might need to replace one of the two

hey, after taking a daytime look im not actually leaking oil!
what i saw was a.c discharge but im still seeing the oil light. so if the oil light means drop in oil pressure what are my options? faulty oil pressure switch, oil pump ? how do i determine whats going on and is their a on board computer test i can do?

So the AC PAG oil leak, or the Hose from the AC to the cabin dipping water ?

For the oil pressure and you just changed the oil , it could be a probelm with the filter not seated itself. What filter did you use, OEM ? Or some aftermarket one we dont sell ?

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ilter-wtf.html

Or the oil pressure senor. Which you might have bumped the sensor end harness which clips in and its not making contact ? or its failed.

Hey got the mechanic to take a look no oil leak but too much oil in the car drained it and put the correct amount but still have a oil light . Mechanic says oil pressure Sensor can you recommend 1 and also I need a high psi coolant reservoir cap the 1 i bought on eBay is unloading the coolant at 90 degrees the car isn't reaching operating temperature . So is there a cap for high pressure maybe 30 psi or can hold over 115degrees ?
