Cant really call it a mod, but Ive had my father's logo on all my cars, branded the Mini 2 days after I got her. Put about 400miles on since then, up to 33,515 and loving it.
Next step is driving lights and some tint.

Thanks Albie!! The housings are Chrome as well to match the Mirror Caps and should be a lot easier to keep clean...just tried them out tonight in the garage, they do shine pretty bright. I purchased some PIAA Extreme White Bulbs for them to be cohesive with the rest of the Headlights, Fogs, and Parking Lights...still wanting to replace all other exterior bulbs with brighter bulbs as well.

I do have an LED Third Brake Light that was replaced after one of the bulbs in the OEM 3rd Brake Light burnt out, I also did the Pulsar mod awhile back.

I've been in contact with PIAA (who knew they were also local and have a Will Call Dept.) they said I could come down and get help when I ever I needed too.

Fast Fun 2...Thank you as well!! Molly is a Princess for sure and she just keeps getting better with age!!

The Driving Lights are an accessory available on the www.miniusa.com website or www.minimotoringgear.com, I will warn you they are not cheap, but I had $600 in MINI Moola and a $50 Accessory Gift Card from MoP for attending their Grand Opening last year, and PDX MINI Club Members get a 10% Discount too, so those helped defray some of the cost.

The Kid's up on a lift now getting his water pump replaced. Installed nm Engineering Torque Arm inserts in all of 10 minutes. Easy peasy. And that's saying something for me!

Albiecrazy:

"The Kid" looks awesome on the lift...

Just so you know and are not discouraged, I had a bit of interior vibration, especially at idle, for about 50-75 miles before the new NM Engineering insert seated in and softened up when I first installed it. It can catch you off guard during that time when you forget you had put it in... as in "What the hell is that freakin' noise?1?"

Now, once broken in, it is not noticeable at all except with the benefit of crispy/sharp shift change feel and coupled with the SprintBooster (or in your case the D1 Spec), a much more direct acceleration feel (with the dramatically reduced engine roll take up and curve re-map).

I don't remember if you have done a short shift linkage mod, but the Helix SSK in conjunction with the torque arm insert mod has totally transformed the feel of my STRAIGHT Cooper beyond amazement. I highly recommend it for certain. If you haven't done it already, this could be your next endeavor...

And this is how it all starts, today... the insert, tomorrow... the short shift, the next day... the world!

Congratulations, you're now on your way to becoming a mah-han-nik!

Enjoy your new mod Buddy. And that shiny new metal (what were they thinking?) water pump...

^^^ Thanks, Pete!

Actually, I notice a slight vibration, but only in the gas pedal. And it's so minor that it's not even worth talking about. What is worth talking about is just how smooooooooooth shifting is now. I think my OEM insert was really just tired and weak - before the mod, the car was beginning to feel glitchy on shifts. After the inserts, there's no rock to the engine when shifting and I feel like I have a new car. I was pretty skeptical about this mod this morning. Not any more!!!

I've been thinking about a short shifter... Right now I'm debating between finishing off the JCW rear bumper or keeping the Straight bumper, installing an exhaust and continuing my new stripe over the roof and down the boot. The JCW rear bumper is soooo expensive that I'm leaning toward the exhaust and stripe.

In the mean time... here's 4 years of modding.

Your MINI looks great, nice job.

Great set of before/after pictures... Quite a metamorphosis.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for that poor dock in the background after 4 years...

Looks good, I'll be sure to keep an eye out when I'm in town. Is that a self-service lift in your previous pic? Where's it at?

Thanks! I've got a run coming up in 2 months - might be a great time to come down.

MINIS to the Point 5

That lift is in my old man's garage. It comes in very handy.

Lets see all your pictures of your R56 non-S mods-image.jpgHere is mine! I got it pretty recently and I am also into the contrast. This image does not show it, but shortly after this I got a black JCW grill. Next weekend I plan on plasti dipping all my chrome parts. I need a piece of advice: I know you can purchase tape on outmotoring to black out your belt line, but I read somewhere that weatherproof electrical tape works just as well. Any thoughts? I am excited for this project, and inspired by all of you

You're not the only one to say that under your breath - trust me!

While the Kid's getting cosmetic surgery, I get to motor in this beast.

A 2011 Midnight Black JCW. I like the little things about this car - grille surround, headlight/tail light rings and the Challenge wheels are painted in Midnight Black - wheels were originally silver. Rear tail lights and rear fogs + wheel arch lights (front and back) are tinted. Blacked out headlights, M7 springs, Invidia exhaust, JCW CF wing and the blow off valve is quite spectacular. Oh, and the JCW tune. A little different than our naturally aspirated Straight Coopers, that's for sure. And this one is noticeably different from any S I've had as a loaner.
