Geez, brandon - car just continues to amaze me. The FX1's are tight - they must feel amazing. I expected them to be a little more pricey (I don't know that much about seats ) but they're not too bad. I do have a couple questions...

Is your car mainly a show car? The paint looks amazing. And how many shows are in this circuit?

Please tell me my eyes deceive me and that the JCW front bumper isn't cracked on the driver's side under the headlight.

Could we get a close up shot of your headlights? They look like halogens that have been joey modded? How difficult is that to do and could we get a view from the front and side? That may be exactly what my headlights need to tie in the stripe/grilles and fog light bezels.

Awesome MINI, brandon.

thank man! the fx1 pros hug you so well and i like them a lot but the gf seems to hate them hahah. she says its way too vertical for her so she suggest getting lumbar support for the back since your sitting at around 72 degrees.

hahah i wish it was just a show car but its actually my daily as well. its got about 120k miles on it right now. and shes parked outdoor. i just wash every weekend. wax every 3 weeks and claybar every 6 months. im registered for about 4 big ones right now but im not sure if i can make them, i missed one already yesterday due to my trans is all messed up

unfortunaly it is cracked, speed bump came outa no where lol

and ill try getting a close up on monday of the headlights when im back in the shop. they are the stock halogens and have been joey modded. i took the entire housing apart and painted some parts of the inside. the hardest part is just getting the lense to separate from the housing and not cracking the lenses since i think the lense is a couple hundred dollars haha. just heat up the glue holding it in and go very slow with a screw driver. heat and pry, heat and pry. itll take about 15 each housing, a little longer the first time tho.

Adding chrome now, what? MINI Madness!

(And now, after replacing most of the chrome with black...)

OEM Chrome Line fog light surrounds:

Voila! A little accent detail of "bling".

Thanks very much, kind sir. A subtle detail that I think it creates some balance to the front... It adds to the sophisticated Euro-grand touring theme I am going for...

You can easily get them on Amazon or may other parts stores online if you search.

Car Led Door Logo Badge Light Ghost Shadow Light Led Car Decoration for Porsche (Pair) : Amazon.com : Automotive Car Led Door Logo Badge Light Ghost Shadow Light Led Car Decoration for Porsche (Pair) : Amazon.com : Automotive

They are fairly easy to install but come with NO instructions so be careful. You can wire directly into the existing light wiring for the door BUT MEASURE CAREFULLY before you drill the hole for the unit as there is not much room for the device behind the door panel and you dont want extra holes in the bottom of your door.

I know people do it and to each their own, but I'm not a fan of painting stock calipers any color that makes them stand out. So I'm going with BLACK. I think they'll look pretty stealthy and they'll hide unsightly brake dust... I also think they'll actually look waaaay better through my Enkei's than that ugly silver/gray and may even make my slotted rotors stand out. We shall see.

I like it! Blends in nicely with the wheels down low. I'm planning to install the same rings only orange them out to match my side mirrors on an Ice Blue / Black MC. Might orange out the chrome center bar in the lower grill too, to tie in with my orange Hollie track wheels.

QUESTION FOR YOU: Did the Chrome Line front fog light rings snap right on with no fuss?

BlackIce: Nope, no fuss... You must first pop the small (body colored) exisitng trim rings off from around the lights and then replace them with the chrome "cups" that snap into the same slots as the rings.

I used a soft plastic automotive trim puller to remove the rings. I recommend investing in a set if you are doing any trim modding, I got mine on Amazon, well worth the $25 with shipping...

And just a tip... always work with the plastic parts (including the new pieces that are to be used) as warm as you can get them (meaning the car has been sitting in direct sun for a while), less chance of "snappage" (and the subsequent profanity)...

I personally think your car would look great with orange fog light surrounds. I say do it.

Thank you so much for confirming that. What my ride really needs is to be lowered like yours. Mini's look so much sweeter 3/4" to 1" lower. Unfortunately H-Stock autocross rules don't allow that. The best I can do is install the JCW's "RED" springs and get about 1/2" lower to still qualify. JWC RED's aren't cheap and the ride gets really stiff (so I hear...), but may do it after I'm knee deep in autocross; possibly mated to some adjustable Koni Yellows...

Cheers and thanks again.

mizme - car looks great! I toyed with the idea of having my rear valence painted in black, but decided to keep it PW. It definitely works with your car!

Almost like getting a new MINI, hiç?

Stopped off at the vinyl shop yesterday to get a quote on finishing the stripe down the boot. Gonna try and suggest to the Mrs. that it would make for a super fantastic Father's Day/Birthday present (they're only a few days apart).

They haven't gotten back to me yet - any guesses on what they'll want for gloss black, 15" center, 1/2" gap, 1/2" outer stripe?

Finally got around to make a video of the Milltek exhaust. Hope this helps anyone who is thinking of buying it!
