One month old!!

Here are a couple I've taken over the last month of happy motoring.

The second pic was taken in front of the Nada tunnel in the red river geological area in Daniel Boone national forest in Nada KY (yes, that's a real place). The tunnel is a neat, one lane chiseled hole through the side of a mountain.

Pepper Jack now sports a black tie look

Before:

Now with stripes and black out grill:

All that is left now is checked scuttles (on the way) and the Clark Kent to Superman transformation is complete.

I did the same grill change. The black looks great on PW. Since you have the stripes have you thought about blacking out the beltline? It's a small thing that makes a big difference.

The beltline is the chrome strip that runs between the roof and the bottom of the car. Some people put black vinyl over the chrome for the "blackout" look. On my PW/B I think it ties the roof to the rest of the car better.

Ah, I see now. Yes, it does help. I like it. Where can I get the parts?

This is where I got mine:
http://lylesvinylstyles.net/
He offers a satin finish which I think works well. I had gloss on for a while but it was a bit too much for me.
You can find his name a lot here on NAM for vinyl stuff. Good guy.

Easy to install? Non-invasive? Does it replace or cover the existing chrome?

I just blacked out the beltline on my MCS. It's done using semi-gloss striping tape. It's the same kind of tape used to stripe your car, only thinner. It took me about 2 hours and is simply placed over the chrome on the beltline. Not difficult to do but is a bit tedious...but worth it!!

Here are a couple of shots:

Its just a vinyl tape that goes ontop the chrome...it does a good job...i got mine from outmotoring...its only $12, but it is gloss black so it doesn't match the rubber it is right next to.

After about 6 months of use, I did get one chip on the front piece...its making me think about painting it now with a paint I found to match rubber and all other trim pieces...the beltine can pop off and the chrome pieces pop out, but that is more work...the tape is fast and easy

Here's what I bought. It matches the rubber perfectly and completely covers the chrome. Plus, there's enough to do the car several times over. That will solve the problem of having to replace parts if they peel off or if you mess things up on the install.

Yes, but patience is involved. It can also be frustrating if you are overly OCD.

How did you get the 'S' grille to fit on your car? I have a 2007 MC and tried to fit an 'S' grille and it didn't work at all. Please explain how you did it as this is what I want to do!

There are a number of places to buy this type grill for Non-S MINI. Here are 2. I got mine from FastMini.
