When I put it on it looked amazing but I almost felt like I needed to reapply it the next week & I def had to reapply it 2 weeks later I can't wait to see how long the sauce formerly known as the stuff lasts.

Are you referring to Raspberry Beret (Uh huh, Uh)? Now you've done it. That tune will be running thru my brain for days now.

huh... interesting cause it contradicts what ive heard others claim...hummm..

Before you applied Black Renew, what cleaner did you use to remove
the prior residue? did you use alcohol or any paintprep
type detergent? how about like rubber cleaner? it could be that the
renew is 'floating' over the old crap(?) or stuff (?) you got on there.... ?

i wash like usual, then use RubberCleaner by Griots followed by a nice
rinse, then a quick alcohol wipe down on a sponge. need to be pretty
quick to apply dressing after the alcohol wipe down cause the trim will
start to appear whitish from dry skin.

the dressing on my MCS has been on there since last Aug/Sept (although
i don't drive my MCS in the winter or through rain). this is why i don't
recommend a bottle any larger than 8oz if you're going to buy from Griots.
the bottle lasts forever. nice semi-gloss finish, no dust
accumulation, dry, and clean to the touch. i can accidentally rub
my pants on it and still get no residue transfer.

when i was using Back to Black that thing would ALWAYS get on my
pants while i was working on the car. and it was a dust magnet.

I used nothing before I applied the Renew. The only product I have ever used on my trim was 303 protectant & it had been quite awhile since I had applied that to my trim. Since Wizar'ds claims to be "a one step cream that cleans, beautifies, & protects trim" & says "Use to remove old wax & white compounds, etc..." & "Black Renew is a water based polymer emulsion w/citrus cleaners" I didn't see a need to do anything but apply it without prep

I dunno if that's the problem or not but my Mini is not garaged & used as a daily driver.

While we are on this topic, don't forget my sauce is a one step cleaner/dressing as well. No prep necessary and it lasts for months, and it doesn't get you black...I experienced Black Magic tire dressing on a customers car yesterday--which had been applied months before--nasty.

In my first version of the gel without cleaners, the plastic would have darkened, but the white wax residue would have remained.

Before and After in just seconds.

I wonder if this is going to become the new "gold' standard replacing the Monster Fluffies from DP.

Richard, how often will we have to reapply the product formerly know as the "stuff"? or will we be the Beta testers & be telling you that

man, wish the owner would've gotten some q-tips and did the
dimples on that plastic piece next to the holes.

anyone else bothered by this?

Haha, I've had mine on for over two months now. I did retouch one area to remove some polish that I got during one of my "spot pc applications"--where I remove swirls that bug me, but don't have time or energy to do the whole car. LOL

Once it's on, just wash the car normally. Wipe the trim down with the mitt you use for cleaning the wheels to remove any built up dirt. It will look and feel new all the time. No need to reapply unless you want to--but it's really painless if you want to.

Ken, that was a progress shot. Here it is finished. All the holes were cleaned--no q-tip necessary. What you're seeing is the shine of the plastic. I cropped it for a closeup.

And here is how it was applied

Here is the same "stuff" on a different car

Well the original intent of this whole thread was to come up with a name by AMVIV so I could have samples ready---but I had to do more testing--which delayed things. I'm pretty confident the current version is the best it's going to be...so AMVIV'ers will get the first chance to play with it in a few days.

I should be shipping by the end of April, considering production timeframes and schedules.

I look forward to trying it out...but it might take me a while to burn through my dozens of other trim dressings...even if they only last a few days!

Well considering the high cost of the ingredients (super high grade stuff--part of the reason it performs so well) and the fact that this lasts a really long time, I don't think its going to be much bigger than 8OZ to begin with. Remember, 1/4 OZ will do an entire MINI--all arches, skirts, front and rear lips, trim around roof above windshield and still have some left over. Even if it only lasted 1 month then in 4 months you will have finished 1OZ. So 32 months you will have finished the bottle. That's almost 3 years. LOL. And as I said, it lasts for a lot longer than 1 month.

I can't wait to put this stuff on my Jeep trim. That will be the true test of the product.

In SoCal, but Ken and I are in Chicago... If no washing is done the grime (salt, sand and dirt to name a couple) build up can actually peel off in sheets.

well, my MCS is not driven in the winter nor in rain so i think it would
possibly last a year. (kinda like LA-style driving... i use to live
in torrance).
