Ok, today I worked on Scott's MINI of Central Coast Coopers, prepping it for AMVIV.

While working on it, I decided to do some tests with my "Stuff".

Here is what water looks like on the arches that haven't been treated with my "Stuff"

Here I've applied my gel and used painters tape to show the before and after

I sprayed water on the area again

Look how the water beads on the left.

A quick wipe with my waffle weave drying towel

And from another angle

Another example, some wax/polish was dried on the gas cap from a previous waxing.

A few quick wipes and voila (paint has not been polished yet--thus swirl in paint from flash)

Ok compare the before and after here
No "Stuff"

Two month old stuff application

All finished with Epic--and arches dressed with Stuff. Oh and I didn't tape the arches--I intentionally got polish and wax on the arches, and cleaned them up after everything was dry.

The results are in!

Thank you to everybody that participated! There are 4 winning names decided by popular vote. Though I had originally expected there to be 3 choices, I didn't expect there to be a tie.

There were 67 votes to my poll.

The winning names and associated NAMers are as follows:

ShowCarDetailing Ultimate TrimCare (21 votes or 31.34%)-TulsaMINI
ShowCarDetailing Ultimate Trim Restorer (17 votes 25.37%)-Ords
And there is a tie for the 3rd most popular names
ShowCarDetailing Trim Restore (16 votes 23.88%)-Ords
Trim ReNew(16 votes 23.88%)-- mcdbrendan

Congratulations to TulsaMINI, Ords, and mcdbrendan. If there were any duplicate name suggestions, the winners were selected by who posted the name suggestion first.

Considering that none of you have even seen or tried my gel, this was not an easy task to come up with a name. I had fun and I hope you did as well.

The final names will be subject to any legal trademark restrictions before being finalized.

If you didn't win this time, don't worry! I will have a special offer for EVERYBODY that participated and suggested a name.

Thanks!

Richard

I guess I just plain missed out on this whole deal. I was going to suggest :

FANTASTIC PLASTIC MASTIC

Oh well.......maybe next time. Anybody try peanut butter on your plastic trim? Does a great job getting rid of the telltale wax that manages to get on it during that op.

I think it will always have an insider's pet name, "Right Stuff".

Congratulations TuslaMINI, Ords, and mcdbrendan! Great fun. Now what will we ever do for follow-up entertainment? I can hardly wait to get a bottle of the Stuff! The pictures are awesome.

Btw, FWIW, my freeze tests have been done up to 3 times so far in succession. Each time that the product froze, just a few minutes at room temperature the gel returned to its normal unfrozen state. In the second test, I left it in the freezer for over a week before thawing it out.

I know that kind of stuff is important to Ken.

I'll start taking orders about a week after AMVIV.

As automated as it is, it still needs to be manually approved by me, and I just got back to the computer. Had to go wash the MINI after the bit of rain yesterday--can't go visit a detailing customer with a filthy MINI!! LOL

You've been approved. Sometimes the manual approval process is goofy and you may not receive a final email--but it appears you are fully registered so go ahead and log in!
