I had my pin on this map for a few weeks, but I just realized that your pin gets hidden when other people in the same town add their pins. The system picks a generic location in the middle of your town, but you can manually move the pin to your neighborhood (or maybe a local landmark if you don't want people to see where you live). In your profile, there is a location field, but a link for "advanced" under that.
