Wheel size

Hi

Anyone know what size wheels the National Champ in H S ran last year
15, 16 or 17? Both cars at the Dixie National ran 16"

Thanks TomT

I am fairly sure he ran the Kumho V720s in 205/50/15 size.

Thanks, Interesting choice. A 205 45 16 would be the same overall size and you could use a 7" wide rim.

Hummmm

The 2015 Nationals results list Reno's tires as Bridgestone. His listed sponsors also included Bridgestone.

Interesting. He ran Kumhos the majority of the year and even dabbled in the BFG Rival S for a very short time.

If you really wanted to run the 15x6.5, et38 works - we have 7mm of give in either direction from stock, don't we? I personally run 16x7s - I think for street tires the width is important. Reno would win on anything he drove on lol

Aren't the 16" OEM wheels 48et? A 15x6.5 by SCCA rule is a 16x6.5 minus one inch of diameter.

max offset for 15x6.5 is et41- et55

regardless, I asked a fellow STF national autocrosser, he said that most people get a wheel and shave it down to the correct offset say if it was et40, they would shave it down 1mm.

Well since they are et37, you would need to shave down 4mm. The RPF1 is probably the best bet for 16x7 or the SSR.

thanks again for the input! I've got the rpf1s now, will just stick with them, just liked the look of those.
