Mini Cooper Corral for Lime Rock Park Sept 28-29

OK - Who's is ready to head to Lime Rock Park CT for our Mini Cooper Corral for the last R53 Race? RSR Motorsports will be there with two MINIs and this will be the last race. We could not help it, so we set up a corral to help with a special send off Friday Sept 28 and Saturday Sept 29 Here are the links for tickets:

The corral tickets for Friday and Saturday are separate – anyone attending must purchase a corral ticket for each respective day per car in the corral, as well as the general admission ticket for each day per person who is coming.

Here is the link to the corral tickets page for both the Friday and Saturday corral tickets. Corral tickets are $15/car/day. Note, only one corral ticket is needed per car:

Then, here is the link to the general admission tickets page. The options are a Friday, Saturday, or Weekend ticket (valid for both days general admission):

There are rooms available at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Danbury 116 Newton Rd., Danbury, CT 06810 203-798-1200 - this is about 40-45 minutes from the track. Most all rooms in Torrington CT are already booked. Make sure you ask for the Lime Rock Park discount, it will save you some money.

Staying in Danbury will give you a nice scenic ride up to the track.

News from RSR Motorsports:

OK here is the latest news! There will be a slightly different line-up in the MINIs at Lime Rock. Dicky Riegel will return to the team and run with Chris Puskar in the 195 car. The 198 pairing will remain as Laguna with Randy Smalley sharing with Chris Knox. Returning to Lime Rock we have high hopes for the MINIs but our pair of Hondas will be competitive there and with any luck we could have a huge weekend.

Anyone know a place where I can rent a MINI/Mini near Hartford CT, or near JFK, LaGuardia, Newark airports. Looking to have one for the Mini corral at Lime Rock.

Just a reminder that you need to purchase the Mini Cooper corral passes in advance. You can NOT buy them at the gate. You will need a corral pass to get into the corral. Here is where to order them:

FB hitched a lift in the RSR transporter

FB is already on his way. The word is Chris Knox refused to drive the Scottish superstar across country so he stowed away in the RSR transporter. Look for him to pop up all over the place on race weekend.

Thanks for the answer. I believe that the corrals and the tent will be set up ahead of time. We will need to make sure we set up a spot of the new JCW GPII and we have a few original GP's that we wnt to have parked right next to the new one.

Thanks to all who made the corral possible. To all those who donated their time and energy to make it happen.

It would have been nice if the weather was a little drier but all in all it was still a great time. The racing was exciting to watch.

The paddock was as full as I have ever seen it. Unfortunately the paddock was also full of water. There were small lakes throughout the 'B' paddock, including right under the RSR Motorsport tent.

I feel sorry for the whole RSR team that had to operate under those conditions all weekend. They performed their jobs superbly in spite of the terrible conditions.

I look forward to supporting RSR next year and hope that the weather will be a little drier. It is after all, New England. If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes. (although that certainly did not apply to last weekend)
