Make sure that you don't use the term 'Koni' in 2010 to auto record on your VCR. I'm not certain if 'Continental' will work either. It depends on what Speed uses as the TV name. It's safe to use 'Grand Am' but that will get all the Rolex races as well. . . . your call.

You can follow the race 'live' on the Grand Am site. I'm unaware of any rebroadcast online . . . but I'll ask

 

This is a Tune-in alert for the Continental Challenge, Fresh from Florida 200 (formally Koni Challenge). The race was run two weeks ago on the 3.56 mile road course at Daytona International Speedway.

EVENT: Fresh From Florida 200


Two RSR Motorsports Mini's were entered and they put on a show before retiring late with an electrical problems. Team drivers Sarah Cattaneo and VJ Mirzayan drove the #197, Cruise America, Four Winds RV, Mini Cooper S to second place before a late race gremlin sent them to the trailer. The #196 with Randall Smalley and Owen Trinkler suffered the same fate at the one hour mark. Despite the disappointing final result, the Mini's let it be known, they are a force to contend with in 2010.

Tune in, set your DVR's and break out the cold drinks and popcorn for the two hour telecast.

I happened to be surfing past Speed channel & heard that the Dayton truck race that was to be broadcast live was rained out.

They are going to have the truck race tomorrow at 6:30. Damn, I hope they show the Grand Am Conti tires race sometime. I checked on the speed website & the Grand Am is still listed for 7:00pm. We will see.

I saw that too and I think you may be right. I just checked DTV and it's only scheduled for the one broadcast. They usually run it one more time late at night. I'll keep an eye out and let everyone know.

In the meantime . . . I guess we need it to rain again in Daytona.

fwiw, I have SPEED on now and they just showed at the bottom that they will be showing the truck race tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. Hope they can find a time to reschedule and show the Conti Tire Challenge race.

 

They WILL reschedule as they have too much invested in the production.
The question is when and if they will let us know????
This happened once last year and I missed it because they never announced when
