I'm trying to find some folks in Montana that have a Mini Cooper too. I know that anyone who drives one is going to be cool. To help find folks I started a Mini Coopers of Montana Group on Facebook. Come say, "howdy", post a picture, and write something on the topics. Have fun and drive safe!!

Be sure and search the MINI USA Owner's Lounge (aka MINI USA Owner's Network). See www.miniusa.com . You'll need to create a username & password (free) if you don't already have one to see anything. Once inside you can look for other owners, events, etc. throughout the country (sorted by state, etc). Currently, there are 22 Montana owners listed. Owner contact varies by their preference. It's a place to start. Good luck.

There's plenty of Montana MINI drivers, they're just hard to find in a state this big! We actually had our first meet last year and did a drive on the Beartooth Highway, which was an absolute blast. We're starting an official group on google called Big Sky MINI's to talk about future meets or just good drives around the state. Feel free to join in--we're always looking for more motoring enthusiasts!

Looks like you guys changed the month on the beartooth highway thing.. August would have been perfect cuz then I could have come! ha! sounds like I will have to hurry back from Texas!

 

Yep. We're doing it at the end of July incase I get accepted into grad school as I may be moving sometime in August. It just seems to work out so July is a little better timing.

ya know there's no reason to have huge stretches of interstate across N america, and not being able to service a MINI on them, for example I-90 from Minneapolis to Tacoma. what do y'all do for service, flatbed t/f Tacoma? Murray? Denver? Just curious, I could be living there soon (Missoula).

If I lived in MT with my 2005 S BMW wouldve paid major bank to get that car serviced, what with all of its nagging and expensive problems. at least the 09 is better built.

I couldn't agree w/you more about the distance between us and dealerships. We desperately need one in this state! There's a region of about 6 states in the Northern Rockies/Plains that lack a MINI dealership.
As for options for service, we're closest to Murray, and would have to have our cars towed there (as far as from this part of the state) if there was a problem--this is done for free, under warranty I believe. We'd then have to pay to have them towed back or drive down ourselves and pick them up. Very difficult and expensive either way.

Babyblue--we'll look forward to seeing you this year. You'll be our very first out-of-state joiner!

 

MontanaMini I'm not an out of stater! I live in Great Falls! I'm going on a TDY to texas and will be coming home around the 25th, so no out of stater here!
