Best in car video....

I posted this on another thread, but I think that this video is so good that I want to post it in it's own thread.
This is Leh Keen in his Porsche 996 RS at Watkins Glen. Leh shows here just how talented a driver he is. Watch it a few times and start watching his feet (as best as you can see them). This video shows some incredible talent.

Wow, he's one of the most impressive drivers i've ever seen and the fact that he's racing in a Porsche makes him even more impressive. Nice video. I'll be studying from that one for a little while. Thanks

Great vision and super fast shifts ...Does he brake ????

Was he penalized - to start from the rear??? He should have started near the front pole

He started from last because he was black flagged during qualifying for " aggressive blocking'. He denies this and by the look of this video it does seem unlikely that he would even need to. So he stated last and within a few laps he puts himself in first, after that restart due to a yellow flag.

Braking. That's one of the nicest things he does. If you watch you will see him lightly pump (tap) the brake pedal with his left foot before every braking zone, while still under full power. He does this to keep the pedal firm and the pads up to better temp for when he hits the brakes with his right foot in the braking zone.

Watch how quick and precise his heal-toe is also.

Great video. Thanks for posting that.

It reminds me of the video of **** van Elk starting from the back of the pack at Zolder. He's driving a V8 Esprit that, judging from the scream, must have straight-cut gears. Turn your volume down first.

Not sure how this video became a Lotus, because it's not. I've seen this a year or so ago. It's a 1994 BMW 320i Supertourer or maybe an M3GTR, like the car in my sig.

Yes, we saw it a year ago ...it is a M3 GTR (I like the start of the race, when he almost runs down a guy sitting on the rail-edge of the track)

Thanks for the correction. It's been posted all over the place as a Lotus, even on the gofastvideo.com site. I guess I should have noticed the Teutonic dashboard.

Actually, I might bet that it's not a GTR, but rather a BMW 320i Supertourer. The dash is one give away, but the other is the name on the upper right of the windscreen, "Bagazzi". They built a few of these cars. It's a 300hp 2 litre

Here is an interior shot of one.

The M50 motor was shared with the 3 & 5 series, it's a 2.5L unit. From Wiki...

The 2.5 L (2494 cc) M50B25 was introduced with the 1992 525i. It has an 84 mm bore and 75 mm stroke and produces 192 hp (141 kW).
Applications:
1991-1995 E36 325i
1992-1995 E34 525i/525ix

I've driven Seb's car, it has power, but the brakes/handling are just phenomenal. The e30 M3 that he was chasing towards the middle has a 300hp S14! It looked like Seb was really trying but he actually let him by so he would have some fun chasing someone throughout the race.
