Autopower Weld-In Roll Cage

Anyone using one in an R50/R53 and passed tech at SCCA / NASA / Champcar / Lemons? We got one and the main hoop is about 5" too narrow. Autopower says it was designed to fit with the stock interior and will pass SCCA and NASA tech. An email to SCCA and a photo says it will not. Emails to Lemons and Chump both say it *might* pass, but it's not good.

This is good to know. Ive been looking at cages. Harddog makes prebent kits. I'd definitely fight with Autopower on this and get one that is "properly" fitted.

They've agreed to take it back, but we have to pay shipping ($200 each way). We've ordered a kit from rollcagecomponents.com that is significantly cheaper and hopefully will fit better.

I will be very interested to know how that one works out for you! Pics of the install are always great.

Also interested in the rollcagecomponents cage. I got a quote from them and is definately within reason. Just anxious to see the fit.

If I ever get it installed I will be sure to take some photos, but the main hoop fits much better.

Could you take a quick photo of the hoop in the car so we can see the difference! Very interested in the fitment and may be ordering one this off season if it looks good!

Here's the only photo I have right now. It's in my buddies garage. Next time I'm over there I will get a better pic from the rear so you can see fit.
