I've got a couple side skirts for sale if anyone wants them.

Also, I'm looking for a definitive list of parts to convert a 05 MCc rear bumper to a MCSc rear bumper. Anyone? Anyone?

STLMINI, I believe that all you need is the actual bumper. And you just replace the trim piece with that off of your r50.

Another comparo shot for R50 sportin R53 skirts. (I so dig Rally's ride, I just had to jump on his band wagon )

ya know, the new R56 has no difference between the MC and MCS when it comes to the side skirts. I personally think the R53 skirts look the best. One day, in the future, I am having all my moldings painted body color.

wow sick picture bro.....that looks great

So do the turns look different because of the angel eyes, or do you have the chrome rings they sell too?

Something interesting to notice would be the price of the sideskirts. Back in 2002 when i did the mod, the dealer sold them to be for $50 as a set. Shortly after people started doing the mod.....the price went way up. Anyone know what it's at now?

Yes, I have the angel eyes, and yes, there are chrome rings around them. I think I got them from www.mossmini.com or www.minimania.com Can't remember which right now. Came with 5 rings, 2 for the turns, 2 for the fogs, which I had on but took off becuase I did not have fogs and it looked over done, and one for the rear bumper back up light...which is still on.

I like the chrome rings around the turns, sets it off a little, and I like the contrast of the white and chrome with the Indi Blue, etc....

Not sure how much the side skirts are not, I was thinking about an extra set for when I paint the lowers, to keep them in good shape as mine have scratches on them. They came off of Randy Webb's Mule and got slapped on my car

I believe those are the correct part numbers for the R53. I looked them up on www.realoem.com and found this

speedwing, if you plan on reusing your sill plates be very careful when taking them off of the old skirts as they distort/bend very easily.

good advice...I pulled mine out and replaced them with JCW ones, or you can get a custom set from aesthetic creations or some other option like that.

The R50 skirts are flat all the way along them....as seen in the pics above, the R53 skirts have a bulge in the middle that make the skirt a bit wider.

So, will I need spacers, or canI get away without them?

Spacers for the wheels? Or do you mean skirts?

The wideness isn't so big that you would need to space the wheels out......its simply just a little bulge. Look at the pic of the blue car above......the little bulge on the skirt that is highlighted by the sun is the only difference. The r50 skirts are just flat.

a set of new clips for the aero cost me $16 plus tax. some are different clips but same number of pieces used
what are you gonna do about the sill plate? i dont know how much that costs...
subtract those two cost factors, minus a little more depreciation value since it's been used=$40-50?
