Years ago I drove with the Race Car Club of America out of New Rochelle, NY. They held events at Limerock, Pocono, Bridgehampton (before some bastard developers turn it into condos), and a few other places. Damn, I loved driving Bridgehampton!!

I can't seem to locate them though...does anyone know if they still exist?

With my new Mini on order I'm getting the itch to get out on the track again and am looking for opportunities in my general area...Limerock and Pocono being within reach from northern NJ. So, if you have alternative suggestions to the RCCA, let me know.

Or if you know where they're hiding, do tell.

Could you mean the Sports Car Club of America, the SCCA?

If so they're still extant, just look up your local chapter and join up for their events.

 

Nope, the SCCA is a different organization and both were in existence at the time I used to drive with the RCCA...the RCCA being the much smaller of the two. I fear it no longer exists but hope there are viable alternatives in the area and perhaps the SCCA will prove to be that alternative...only time and research will tell.
