Was going to mention No Problem. They have the FAAST thing, includes HPDE and up.

Thinking about doing one in the coming year with my father...he's always wanted to do something with his M3.

I live in Campti. It's about 60 miles below Shreveport. I have some family down around Baton Rouge. My cousin lives in Slaughter, just a few minutes from the EVO Center where they run the CENLA SCCA SOLO II events.

 

Yes, you can get started in road racing here in Louisiana.
No Problem raceway offers DE's as well as race instructors. Visit their website at:www.noproblemraceway.com
They offer a race series called the Grand Bayou Road race series. I started racing my Cooper S in their series in 2003 then went on to get my SCCA license in Jan. of 2004 then BMWCCA license that same year.
I still race at "No Problem" when possible between BMWCCA races. It's a fun and technical track.

After looking at all the work I would have to do to my car for road racing, I believe Solo II G-Stock would be better for me. The Red River Region SCCA runs just out of Shreveport. Not so far to travel. I looked at the No Problem site. I'm not sure I have time to get ready for the December school (waiting on new wheels and tires to come in), but I will try for the one in January. Thanks for the help.
