East Bay - Mount Hamilton Run 02/12/06
East Bay - Mount Hamilton Run 02/12/06
Redwood Empire MINI has planned an East Bay run with the help from Larry Paquette from Norcal MINIs. We hope to get participation from MOASF & MidCal members as well.
This REME-Norcal run will start in Suisun City for North Bay Area and Sacramento Valley members and we will join with the East Bayers in Danville for a 9am departure. The total length of the run (from Suisun) is over 170 miles (one of our longest runs to date), with a late lunch scheduled around 2pm at the Englander Pub in Dublin.
You can download the map of the proposed route at: http://redwoodempiremini.com/PDF/East%20Bay%20Run.pdf. Please RSVP early for this run (but only on one of the clubs websites) so we can reserve seating at the restaurant.

See our website calendar for all future planned events and downloadable maps of past and future runs.

REME - NorCal February Run Revisions
We will meet at Burger King in Suisun City (near Camping World)at 7:30am to depart at 8am.
We have revised the February run to account for roads we want to drive which were previously closed to traffic. This will require a revision to the starting point of those joining us in the East Bay Area. Please review the map from the attached link: http://redwoodempiremini.com/PDF/East%20Bay%20Run.pdf.
The new Easy Bay area starting point will be in the Albertson’s parking lot in the Clayton Valley Center at 5400 Ygnacio Valley Road (Ygnacio Valley Rd & Clayton Road). Food and gas are very close by. Departure from Albertson will remain 9am.
Bring some snacks, drinks, and 2-way radio set at 7-21. After a long and scenic drive we will enjoy a late lunch at the Englander Pub in Danville about 2pm.

Just checked and it looks like we will have at least 45 cars for Sunday. Great turnout! MOASF will have 10 from their group. REME has 28 signed up and Nor Cal has about 26. Peter was kind enough to check and figure all the duplicates. Bottom line is 40-50 cars for Sunday. Bring your cameras. Should be a beautiful, warm, clear day.
I sent a message to the SF Chronicle and Santa Rosa Press Democrat letting them know and asking if the want to cover this event.

I want to thank Howard in advance for what a wonderful job he did preparing the route for this run. With participation from both Norcal and MOASF, this is certain to be one of the largest runs for any of the groups involved.
REME - Norcal Mount Hamilton Run
Well it appears that based upon the official unverified count, that we did indeed have over 60 participants with about 30 cars from each REME and NorCal, 8 from MOASF and a few not associated with any clubs. If you are thinking "that does not add up", you are right. Many members belong to multiple clubs and at least 3-4 I know of (including me) belong to all three.
Howard did plan a wonderful route enjoyed by all incorporating a section of the run in memory of one of NorCal's founding member Keith. Norcal had a raffle donating all proceeds to charity. Refer to the REME photo gallery at: http://www.redwoodempiremini.com/mbb...mp;photoid=886
