New member Paul here! I just purchased a 2013 Cooper Paceman FWD 2 door S with a 6 speed manual transmission. I am looking to flat tow the car around the country and I have been having difficulty finding a base plate kit to fit. I found a roadmaster base plate kit # 521883-5 that fits the Countryman S but says it is for that model only. From what info I have gathered the Countryman and the Paceman are 4 door and 2 door versions of the same model, R60 and R61. Are these two different chassis? I am waiting on info from Roadmaster and Blue Ox, two base plate manufacturers. If someone has any insights I would greatly appreciate your input. I am hoping I can avoid using a tow dolly and be able to flat tow the car.
