I recently installed the subwoofer into my 09 cooper. I have the gain set at about 90% and it is on low pass. My issues is that it is causing my front speakers to distort/clip. It has even shut the entire system down. The Head unit still says it is playing the music but nothing from the speakers. It takes about 20 Minutes before it comes back on. It doesn't do this will every song. I can not figure it out. I have check all of my wiring and it is all correct. Also the head unit is stock. Any information would be helpful

 

Have you contacted IA yet? Maybe the gain is up a bit too much?

 

I have all they could tell me is that the subwoofer is not causing it. However I know it is because if I disconnect the Sub and hook back up factory it stops. I love the sub just not the distortion.
