Left MAF unplugged by accident -CEL

Is it gonna turn off eventually or do I have to reset the code?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and seeing if that resets it? If that doesn't work it should reset on its own after around 5 engine starts.

It will reset itself eventually. I imagine there are a few adaptions out of spec at this point and it will take some time to reset. Disconnecting the battery may do it, if not you can clear it with a reader or let it go away on it's own.

I did the same thing on my 2008 GTI a few weeks ago. Threw CEL and cleared it. Took a bit for the adaption to get back in line...no big deal.
