Tire rub issue

I'm fairly new and purchased a MINI Cooper S 2005 hatchback. I know the tire size is one size too large (supposed to be 195, has 205) but there is a lot of tire rub on the left side when a load of any size is in the rear seat or cargo area. The right side is not anywhere close to being as bad. I googled the issue and all I found was a possibility of a "suspension bumper" being the culprit. Can anyone here verify that as a possibility and tell me how to correct the issue?

Congrats on the new purchase. This particular area is for owners of Countryman, not Coopers, so I suspect you'll get more advice if you post in the Cooper section
