Brake lost contact on bumps!

Brake lost contact on bumps!
Not sure if my ESL English can explain this issue clearly.
I just had my '12 countryman for about two weeks, but lately, I noticed when I brake to slow down (eg, approaching to a red light, or about to make a turn) and hit a bump on the road, felt like the brake lost grip/contact for about half a second. It doesn't happen in slow speed or flat road.
When it happened, I could feel the brake pedal "bounced" and it felt like there was something (rocks, ice, slush, but apparently, none of these) between the brakes and the wheels, and the brakes just lost the grip and let the wheels skid.
It happened in a short period of time but enough to give me some uneasinesses. I researched online and some people claimed that was caused by the regen brake, and some claimed that was when the traction control kicked in.
Does anyone experience the same problem? I'm just worrying about if that's something wrong with my brakes.

Thanks guys. I'm not a car expert, all I knew about ABS was it was anti-lock brakes. ^.^
I don't think I'm a fast and furious driver, especially I just got my countryman I barely press the gas pedal hard enough to reach 3000 rpm. But I do brake softly and late, e.g. when I approach to the red light, or come to a corner, usually I will let go the gas pedal and let the car coast for a distance, then brake when it's almost reach the light or the corner.
Not sure if this is a good habit of braking, as I heard people suggesting when you brake, (e.g. from highway speed to a complete stop) you should try to reduce most of the speed/momentum at first, then ease on the brake till stop, rather then soft brake at first then gradually increase the pressure, becoz in the last case, you may realize you won't be able to stop the car when it's already too late.
Not sure if I make sense myself, but perhaps my habit of braking cause the ABS activate on bumps.
but thanks again guys.
