Howdy,

I had my high pressure fuel replaced in my 2011 CM ALL-4 S @ 14Kmiles, when I asked the SA at Mini of San Antonio why the pump failed he told me this happens and I should be glad it was only the high pressure fuel pump, not the low pressure fuel pump. (i didn't know there were two).

Anyone know why the part fails?

I'm putting a call into MiniUSA tomorrow and ask them what's going on with the fuel pumps, I know the part as has failed n previous models and curious why a fix wasn't engineered into the countryman

 

The pump is a bad design or made poorly. I thought they had an updated design that replaces the old ones...I would have imagined the newer design would have been installed originally on your 2011 as the updated part replaces the older part.
