I just picked up my MINI last night and was really excited about the Connected feature, especially the Pandora integration. However when I plug it in with the supplied y cable Pandora tells me that I need to make sure that I have the latest version of the app. (Version 3.1.13 is the one that I have) and will not connect.

Has anyone else experienced this and if it was fixed how did you do it. I tried to delete and reinstall the app. reset the phone and must of pluged it in like 20 times.

Just a quick update I got a hold of MINI by phone and they said that it's an app issue. Lilly attributed to the IOS 5 update changing some API's. We will se how long that takes to fix.

 

I just updated to ios5 and pandora stopped working. :(

Until it's fixed you can run the iOS app on the phone and send the music to the head unit via BT audio. You lose the control integration via connected joystick, but the wheel controls (advance) should still work.

 

No word on when but everyone should go to the pandora site's support and complain so they will fix it!!

Yes and it now even works in my other cars that I had installed USA Spec interfaces in for iPod. I am now able to play Pandora in those cars and have the radio controls work the skip. Track name also displays.
So their fix covered many bases in addition to the MINI.

 

There was a news feature on Pandora this morning on The Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo that talked about, among other things, auto integration. Of the two screen shots showing auto company logos for those who had Pandora integration (probably ~16 in all) the familiar MINI wings were the largest and most prominent of them all. It made me .
