To the right of the little gas pump icon on the fuel gauge is an arrow that points to the left. It seems like this arrow would light up. Mine does not. Does yours?

Thanks.

I would guess that it's reminding you that the gas filler is on the left/drivers side of your MINI.

But the arrow is VERY hard to see, so I was wondering if it "lights up" for other CM owners. Mine does not.

I know I am posting out of my category here (MCS rather than Countryman) but does your arrow point in the correct direction fo rit to be reminder of which side your fuel filler is on? Mine points to the right, but my tank is on the left!

On the fuel gauge the arrow is on the left side of the pump icon and it is pointing left.

Interesting - I made certain to check this out on my card yesterday.

The arrow is on the left side...but pointing to right. I assumed it was pointing to left-side of the pump.

There's 2 places that have the gas pump icon.

1. On the center console (no nav), it's printed in the fuel gauge with all the lights around it.
2. On the tach, it's a digital icon of the gas pump

On the center console, the arrow is on the left of the pump and it points away (<-).

On the tach digital display, the digital arrow is also on the left of he pump but it points at the pump (->).

I've come to take the point arrow as saying "This is what you need." And the lack of a which side arrow as MINI's subtle way of saying "It's your bloody car, you should know where the gosh darn petrol door is."

Sealy - Who has also learned to unlock the doors before getting our for a petrol fill up.

Seriously! It took me like ten fill-ups to get the hang of the locking fuel door. One thing I did realize is that if the car is locked and you shut the fuel door (which means it won't close all the way), it'll just pop shut once you get back in the car and unlock the doors. You don't have to stand there and get your keys out and hit the unlock button on the fob (which is what I did for a while).

Ok, this has been driving me crazy! My arrow doesn't light up on the tach..but totally looks like it should. You can hardly see it! Weird.

Nothing lights up, even if it looks like it might. It is simply there to point out where the fuel filler is.

maybe it lights up when you have like 3 drops of gas left? Or if you leave the gas cap off and drive off? Fuel door open and drive off? No idea... Mine doesn't light up that I can see or have ever seen, and it looks like it should. Perhaps it was something set up in the original design that never made the final cut and would have cost too much to change in the end.

2013 R60 with Nav. The little arrow next to the gas icon on the bottom of the center screen DOES light up. I saw it once when I was running on fumes.

We also have a 2013 R60 with Nav. Was on reserve a few minutes ago and filled up. The arrow (to the left of the gas pump icon next to the fuel gauge...and pointing to the left) was not lit before or after.
