I didn't check on Friday when I got the report from my dealer showing the production number but I did check first thing yesterday and it showed my actual order. Not that that means much, if anything I am sure. The way my luck has been running lately I wouldn't be surprised if you guys both got through before me!

The hardest part now is going to be not stalking the Owner's Lounge looking for an update. My MA told me that a VIN would be issued once it started production and that he would send it to me as soon as he got it so I am going to try really, really hard to not me an OL stalker

I've already called ASKMINI three times today....ridiculous I know!! This is going to be a long wait......at least yours has changed to your actual build mine is still showing what the dealer was going to order.

June 7th- Call Ask Mini- spoke w/ rep. Registered me into system, Verified status. Car was born/completed on June 4th I am still unable to obtain a VIN & am directed to further inquire for VIN, actual UK port info from my MA.
Apparently the MA has a different database. Also, Once the car reached the ship, the ask mini database will have no further detailed info. (other than basic progress that appears on the OL site)

 

So I figured I'd try the 866-ask-mini number just to see what's different (seems that's how people get the most detailed info, and is more up to date). If I use the menu system and give my prod number, it says the same as the owner's lounge stuff online.

But I tried again and spoke with someone, and he said production has started!

 

That's great news! I just called and they said mine was on the schedule for production but still not started yet

 

I just hit zero as soon as the automated dude started talking.

I just got off the phone with a live person from ASKMINI and my car started production today at 10:00am!! Woot!! 2 days after order was placed!!

 

Estimated completion date of 6/18!

 

Very jealous! Mine still says on order and when I spoke to the person at Ask Mini yesterday they said the same thing and to call my dealer if I wanted more information. Boo!

 

I received news of an actual birth-date today. It also happens to be my anniversary date as well.

 

I just called ASKMINI...estimated completion date....6/19!!!

 

I have my VIN!

Also, if you guys haven't checked it out, check out the "How to track your mini" in the 1st gear area. Great info about how to check the ship's schedules, which ports the ships come into. My dealer told me all cars for my area come through Baltimore. So I already know the name of the liner (it's either WW or K-Line). Luckily, mine will be WW, which is easier to track.

They even have links so you can check their upcoming schedule. There's one ship leaving on the 22nd that gets in on the 4th, and two ships leaving on the 2nd of July, that get in on the 11th. Since I have an estimated completion date of the 18th, I'd say there's a strong chance mine will end up on one of those two scheduled for the 2nd.

I feel like a stalker. :D

If that's the case, landing here on the 11th, it'd probably make it to the dealership while I'm on vacation that last week in July. I think I'd prefer that to having it show up just before vacation. Don't really want to break it in by taking it on a 7 hour road trip, before I get a chance to get a clear bra and all that good stuff. Plus will give me something to look forward to after vacation.

Awesome! Did you have to talk to a live person to get your VIN? I suspect mine should be there by now too, seems like you and I are one day apart. My completion date is June 19th so I'm sure I would be on a ship leaving July 2nd! I am also going on vacation July 19-28.....we shall see!!

 

I'm sure the ask-mini reps would have the VIN, but it finally showed up on the owner's lounge area this morning. Until this morning, it still showed as on order, but finally got updated to production scheduled and now show's the VIN.

Our cars probably won't be on the same ship. Mine will be coming through the Baltimore, MD port, you're probably coming into a different port. But that thread will tell you exactly which freight liner (either WW or K-Line) ships to your port. Seems the WW line is very easy to track and check schedules. But the K-Line, not so much so.

I just checked the owners lounge again and I have a VIN as well!! That is true about the ship, didn't think of that. All of the cars my dealer gets come into the Brunswick, GA port. I'll check it out!

- Call my MA today & got my VIN as well.
whoorah! now I can really track her, she's moving along quite fast

Its not loaded yet, so I cant accurately search vessel by vin.
but based on ports, it looks like it will ship on Monday & arrive 9 days later on the 20th. Figure a few days at the center then 1 day transport to NY/dealer & then PDI. I might actually be able to redeem my Take down rebate. That would be amazing!

I'm in New York. Harlem, specifically.
There are two other CMs in my neighborhood already; a Light White and an Oxford Green. Don't know why on earth anyone would have a white car in the city, it's already got a nice sized, very visible, scuff on the door.

 

I'm hoping for the FIDELIO, which gets into NY/NJ on 06/11, as well.
After that, the next NYC bound ship is the TURANDOT leaving Bremerhaven on the 4th and arriving in NY/NJ on the 18th adding another entire excruciating week to the wait.
