Just got an email from my MA - 'Effective 4/24/12 your Countryman production has begun.' Still no movement on the website though.

Joe, so you are a week in front of me. Someone posted on a different thread that the site is updated only every Monday...not sure if that's really correct or not. Sounds like your car will probably arrive just a few days after the Test Drive Event...so you get your $750 and your car quickly afterwards too...pretty good.

Shark, we'll see, we may end up on the same boat even though I'm ahead of you. Strange that your status changed on the website before mine, but mine is being built before yours? Ideal time for delivery would be sometime between the TDTD and May 26 (have a wedding to go to that day, and would love to be able to drive it there). Fingers are crossed! I feel a little more at ease knowing that the car is finally being built. Doesn't get it here any quicker, but not knowing was killing me.

Also, if the site is truly only updated on Monday (seems weird to me, that data should be dynamic), then maybe 1-866-ASK-MINI will be able to verify that my car has started production. I will try them in a bit.

Yeah, numerous other posts have mentioned that ASKMINI can tell you where in the production process your car is. Let us know what they tell you...curious.

Just got off the phone. The automated system told me that my vehicle is in production, and estimated completion date is May 4. Now I'm excited!

Shark, I still find it weird that your status has changed on the website, and you have your VIN. I still have no VIN, and the status still says On Order, but my car is scheduled before yours. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Yes, it is strange, but the May 4th date sounds too specific to be erroneous. Looks like if the transit time is typical, your car will arrive within a few days after you have the test drive certificate, so I assume that's about as good as can be, and that would be 7 weeks after ordering, so the 6-8 weeks you were quoted appears accurate.

If it is here 7 weeks after ordering, that would be remarkable, given that it didn't start production for 4 weeks. I somehow doubt it would be here in that timeline, especially after seeing some people waiting 2-3 weeks to get on a ship. But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it will be here by the 26th!

I may be wrong, but I don't think I've seen anyone wait that long to catch a ship coming to Jersey City. I read on another post that the VPC here is the busiest in the country, so I assume that means more frquent ship arrivals?

My CMS was completed 3/21, didn't get on a boat until 4/12, just over 3 weeks. Just arrived in NJ yesterday!

Wow, over 3 weeks to get on a boat + just under 2 weeks to get to NJ, then however long it takes to get to your dealer from the port? I think I can forget about a 7 week timeline!

Fast production!!

Already posted on the Timeline thread, but I ordered 3/23 (this was an allocated vehicle but built to my spec) and I am watching the K-Line vessel Bishu Highway arrive Port of Brunswick, GA later today 4/26 on AIS with my ALL4 on board.

As the VDC is installing my driving lights there might be a delay as that happens, but this is quick!

I'm awaiting transport. My MA provided this information to me:

The Countryman leave from BREMERHAVEN PORT OF EXIT. They will arrive at PORT BRUNSWICK, GA, but do stop somewhere up in Jersey on their way down to Georgia.
From that information, can you tell me which ship line my Countryman will be on? I'm assuming we have to wait for more information to determine actual ship name.

Thanks in advance.

Both K-Line and Wallenius service that route. You are going to have to get the vessel info from the dealer.

Strange...earlier this week an email from our MA said our car would be ENTERING production next Wednesday, 5/2. As of this morning, the website says the status of our car is "scheduled for production" as you would expect. Out of curiousity, I called the automated portion of ASKMINI a few minutes ago and was told the car is in production, and production will be COMPLETE this Monday, 4/30, barely two weeks after we ordered the car. Leaves me wondering how accurate the data we are getting is. Joe, when you click on "review order detail" on the website, you can't see your VIN number? Something else I noticed is that once our car's status on the website showed "scheduled for production" we could no longer see the options we ordered. Is that because they are locked in at that point?

I do now see my VIN under review order detail, I noticed it yesterday. I'm actually not sure how long it's been there because I wasn't checking that every day, I would just exit out as soon as I saw that the status STILL said 'On Order'. I'm not sure how accurate the data is either. A lot of estimating going on. You're right, I can no longer see the options I ordered either, since entering the "scheduled for production" phase.

Shark, when you called ASK-MINI, did you talk to a person, or the automated system? The automated system just told me I'm in production and the estimated completion date is Friday May 4. Last night when I called and talked to a real person, I got even less information than that. He couldn't even give me an estimated completion date. I thought they had access to better information than that.
