R60 Timeline
Guess I'm in the opposite boat. I'm probably the only one to ever hope it takes longer for my All4 to get made and delivered -- I ordered it 2 weeks ago but can't take delivery until early-mid Sept (when I get home from my favorite 'stan country). It'll probably get done well before that, and I suppose it won't hurt it to sit in the dealer's lot for a few weeks, right?? I'm still going to check up on its status just like I was back home, though.
So, question for some of you who already made it completely through the stalking process. :D
I see a lot of you have dates for when it goes to paint, when it gets through final assembly, etc. Obviously, the online owner's lounge info really gives very little info. The Ask-Mini automated system seems to give the same info as online, but I kind of assumed (and maybe incorrectly) that when you speak to a rep, they have more info.
Is that the case? Or is your MA the one that normally gives that level of detail?
Mine went into production on 6/6, with an estimated completion date of 6/18. So I'm thinking mine should at least be finished with the pre-paint assembly and going into paint today or tomorrow. Was going to wait until the end of day today or tomorrow to call and speak to a rep, but then thought maybe they don't have all that info.

June 5th: Automated system. (Awaiting transport to port of exit)
..called 3x to hear the good news LOL
June 7th. (OL site now updated as Awaiting Transport) (*OL site info is aprox 2 days behind the automated system info)
June 7th- Call Ask Mini- spoke w/ rep. Registered me into system, Verified status. Car was born/completed on June 4th I am still unable to obtain a VIN & am directed to further inquire for VIN, actual UK port info from my MA.
Apparently the MA has a different database. Also, Once the car reached the port, the ask mini database will have no further detailed info. (other than basic progress that appears on the OL site)
June 8th- AsK Mini Automated system says "At Port Awaiting to Load on Vessel"
- Call my MA today & got my VIN as well.
whoorah! now I can really track her, she's moving along quite fast
Its not loaded yet, so I cant accurately search vessel by vin.
but based on ports, it looks like it will ship on Monday 6/11 & arrive 9 days later on the 20th. Figure a few days at the center then 1 day transport to NY/dealer & then PDI. I might actually be able to redeem my Take down rebate. That would be amazing!

UPDATE 6/14
So, I spoke to ASK about 2 days ago.. no updates. I've been tracking & calling the automated system everyday only hearing the same msg. *awaiting departure
I thought I missed the 6/11 departure since there were no updates & its now the 14th.
WW vessel schedules showed the next departure (the Don Juan) leaving on 6/25 & arriving in NY/NJ on 7/5.
This wasnt so cool. I missed the opportunity to apply my Takedown Cert.. plus additional waiting.
Its been at he port since 6/7
As usual I called again today & got the same automated response. (at port awaiting departure) .
Good News!
Well as of about 2 mins ago I now have feedback from the WW tracking site.
My CMS4 is aboard the FLORIDA HIGHWAY & scheduled to arrive in NY (ETA 6/23)
hoooorah!
If all goes well thats just over a wk to get through the VDC & travel to NY from NJ & then PDI.
I just might be able to apply the Cert afterall.
The update was about 2 days later. It shows
Booked 12th(German timezone) Bremen
Rcvd at Termnal 6/13 Bremerheaven
Loaded on Vessel 6/13 Bremerheaven 23:00hrs
(The name of the Vessel changed, the departure was 1-2 days off, arrival is the same 2-3 days after the original schedule. (20 vs 23rd)
tracking doesnt show as Left Port or anything but I'll be sure to chk again later.)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there is a typical amount of time it generally takes a vehicle to get through the NY VDC and on its way to the dealership, or does it just depend on when there is a truck scheduled to go your way?
That's the toughest part. The rest isn't all that bad to estimate.
Well, I got two nibbles on my Audi tonight, within 5 minutes of each other. Would be nice to sell it myself and not have to trade it in.
Called ask-mini (just went through the automated system) and my car is now in the body shop!!!
Here's mine. Not much so far. :D

I'm hoping mine breezes through & gets to my dealer ASAP
I ordered mine on 5/28 and received a production number before leaving the dealership. It went into production on 5/30 but unfortunately seems to be stuck there. Mini owners tracking listed a VIN number on 5/30 but the options are blank. Ask mini says the completion date is 6/14 but I doubt that now since my MA says the options should appear on the order details screen when production starts.
This wait is excruciating!!
This wait is excruciating!!
Hope to make it on the 6/24, DON JUAN. Anybody know how I can track in a little more detail? I have the VIN but don't seem to be able to search ont the WW site using that.
Hey pdoel,
Awesome news. I've been calling ASK MINI almost everyday. My car went into production on 6/5 with an estimated completion date of 6/19, but everytime I call and speak with someone they still only show in production. How do you get the juicy details like, paint, body, etc?
Well right now it's just saying it's in the body shop. So I assume that means paint. I actually got that info by calling the automated line. Last night it said it was in production, this morning it said it was in the body shop.
I did call to speak to a rep once they were open, just to see if they knew the actual dates, but they said they only can see the status, not the dates.
So I'd bet yours is soon to follow, if not there already.

Sweet!
So now that it's getting closer, I figured I'd check the shipping schedule again. When I checked last week, it had 1 ship leaving on the 22nd, and two leaving on July 2nd. Now they show one leaving the 22nd, one on the 30th, and one on July 3rd. So even if I miss the 22nd (which I'm sure I will), I'd think I'd have a great shot for the 30th. With the date that one is scheduled to hit Baltimore, that would give it 12 days to get to my dealership before vacation, so definitely a possibility.

Ok, guess I was a little wrong. I figured that "body shop" meant paint. Yesterday ask-mini said it was in the body shop, today they say it's in the paint shop. So now I can officially say it's in the paint shop. :D
Hey guys. Looks like I am exactly one day behind both of you! I called ASKMINI just now and it says mine is in the body shop!!
:D
I think it's cool we all have one going through so close together. Never had this kind of experience before when ordering a car. While the wait sucks, going through it with other crazy stalkers definitely makes the process more fun!
Your Mini is like the annoying little brother that has to follow us everywhere!
:D

Yep mine is in the paint shop too.
Fidelio, here we come!
Hmmm. I'm guessing mine has probably been built too?
System still shows in the paint shop as well, but I know that can be a bit behind. But since we've been going through at the same time, I'd say it's safe to say we're sitting side by side right about now. :D
